Does it rain a lot on your island?

June and July is the rainy season in Japan! I think the NH weather patterns (and seasonal shrub blooms) are designed to mimic Japan's seasons, especially in Northern-hemisphere islands. If it's anything like real life, it'll be rainy until around August.

I guess for those people living in the east or south coast of the united states or any other subtropical place they wouldn't mind, but for someone who lives in a Mediterranean climate, it's a bit weird. Normally we get wet and cold winters here.

I honestly enjoy the rain more than the sunny days in general, but I also enjoy having a clear sunny day after days of rain. There seems to be a detailed weather pattern in NH - I notice periods of on-and-off rain lasting several days more recently, but the previous months the days were mostly clear skies and the rainy days were rare.

I like having it where it's raining in-game but irl it's sunny outside, or vice versa, makes it interesting lol

Also I like the rainy hourly music better than the normal music

It might not be a lot but it sure does feel like it! I am sure it is because i dont like rainy days in game that much. They feel gloomy to me but it is nice not having to water my flowers from time to time.

In this game the rainy music is okay, but in my opinion I felt like New leaf had the best rainy music in the ac titles I've played so far. The music just gave rainy vibes just by listening to it. For the rainy music in new horizons I didn't even notice a difference until I listened a bit more closely to hear the xylophones.

YES. It rained for a week straight and I was completely sick of it about 2 weeks ago. It rains about once a week on my island. I like the summer rain, but sometimes when I just want a nice sunny day on the island I get rain. I do like rain (it’s super aesthetically pleasing to me for some reason, and thunderstorms are amazing) but I like rain in moderation.

Nope, my island is in a perpetual drought. It finally rained for the first time in like two months a few days ago and I got to see my first thunderstorm! It's back to being sunny now though.

Interesting, I notice it pretty well. I play on a Switch Lite, on which the bass/lower range of sound is almost inaudible. Normally I can't hear the bass line of 12 p.m., for example, but when it rains the xylophones carry that line and I can hear them quite well, making the track sound more full to me. Maybe that makes a difference?

Now that sounds like weather I'm experiencing in real life, except that we haven't had a rainstorm in weeks.

I guess it depends on the time of day, like the 5pm music is where I noticed that the volume of the xylophone overshadows the other instruments, but in the 6pm one you can only hear the acoustics.

It's rained pretty much constantly this month. I guess it's good because it finally motivated me to move a ton of my flowers onto the beach so they would stop growing out of control.

The flowers the rain produced made me do the same, but the bad thing about it was that I couldn't get anymore manila clams. The good thing is that now it's clear because I finally stopped being lazy and got rid of them by either throwing them away of giving them to others.

It has been raining a lot on my island lately. I had a dry spell, but then it started raining and kept raining. I like the rain in this game, especially the thunderstorms. I've just got too many flowers now because of it.

I get it a TON. Means I've got wayyyy too many flowers! Especially when I TT to kick a villager out - my fields get so overgrown

That sucks. imagine all the flowers that spawn everyday. I feel your pain. 😭

My flowers are all on my beach at the moment because I'm redesigning my island, so I don't actually have to deal with that particular problem. It's just so annoying, because I want some sun! I don't like terraforming in the rain all the time. lol

Lol i was in the same boat as you for months, but just yesterday I replanted the flowers where i wanted them, gave away the ones I didn't, or throw them away.

For me it has been raining more than once a week. I generally don't mind the rain, but they make my island swamped with flowers. Is anyone having the same problem or are you going through a dry spell.
I am going crazy, it rains everyday all day in my Island now, at first I was happy, cause flowers... Now I am not, cause FLOWERS!

I had to put transparent custom designs on the floor to stop them...
