Does hitting villagers with the toy hammer make them loose friendship?

I need a toy hammer so I can "accidentally" hit Cheri and Drake. Gee I hope they don't move hahaaaa

I thought ignoring them and "accidentally" smashing their face with a hammer made them leave XD

Actually, it's completely random and has got nothing to do with your "friendship level".

While RNG decides who wants to move out, if you have a low friendship level with the person wanting to leave, most of the time they'll instead decide to stay to improve the friendship when they ping you about it.

That's right. Most times if they say they're going to move and you agree, they'll change their mind. I always say the worst thing you can do is ignore your villagers or be abusive.

I wish I'd had a toy hammer when that fugly kangaroo Sylvia barged into my old town unwelcomed. I kept pushing her around every single day til she got mad and she stilll never moved. (I reset when she was still there, I think she'd been a villager for like 2 months straight even though I hated her lol).

my problem is the opposite- I've tried to hit some with the hammer but it always enables the 'talk' action instead.

now the bug net on the other hand-- i'm always accidentally whacking them on the head with that, and then i feel bad when they duck their head like it hurt...

this being said all you gotta do is exit the game w/o saving and reload it up and get them to ping again. usually they agree the second time around.

i remember how i always hit winnie's head with a net and a hammer. she would not leave no matter how many times i hit her ugh
