Does fruit on ground affect Island Evaluation?

I cleaned everything up except the tons of fruit but Isabelle says there's still too many items on the ground (Unless I missed something...?)

I think fruit does count towards it unfortunately.

think of it as "Place item" vs. "Drop item" - if it only gives you the option to drop it and not place it as decoration, it will count negatively.

Ah okay, thank you! It wasn't that way before but I guess they changed it. Then again, I don't really like looking at 'dropped items' in my town myself so guess I'll pick of fruit too XD

Do you know if those animal villagers will make use of those DIY if I give them it? I don't want to waste them in case other people want them. I don't have online at the moment.

also will count negatively, since you can't "Place" the DIY cards, only drop. i don't think animals will make use of the DIYs lol i think you will only see them use anyclothing or furniture you give them!!
