Does Cataloging villager posters... work?

For the life of me I cannot find where to order villager posters that I've only catalogued, instead of getting via inviting the villager to Harv's island. My friend sent me a Wendy poster but I can't find it anywhere! D:

Thats odd!
Usually you would have to manually look it up in the Nook app (or the atm booth if you dont have the app)
and it will pop up there!

I believe that you have to specifically search "poster" in the catalog, and then you'll find them there. Just cataloged posters don't show up normally.

I thought you couldn't order them unless you've been to Harv's island. And then I tried searching for the ones i don't ahve and found them!! xD So what Fraudulent said lol

yeaaah tbh idk why they made it like that but you have to custom search it blegh, but im glad you got them!

It's the same thing for the Sanrio posters (which are cataloguable!). I had to search "poster" in the search function to be able to see them all, they didn't appear in the wall-mounted decorations section for me.

Can someone who hasn't linked Pocket Camp but owns the items check if it's the same for them? I feel like it's the special item unlock section as a whole that doesn't work like the regular catalog.
