Does anyone still play New Leaf?

I've started playing New Leaf again in hype for New Horizons. I'll probably come back to it every once in a while once New Horizons comes out, but my focus will definitely shift. Honestly, I don't know why everyone complains about paid online? It's really cheap when you consider Playstation's and Xbox's online sub.

Yep! I have been playing a lot of it. I don't think I will be playing as often when New Horizons comes out, but I will still try to check in regularly.

I still play a lot because I ended up restarting my town and became slightly addicted to prettying it up which is actually quite stress relieving. I won't be able to play New Horizons because I can't afford a Switch so even when that comes out, I will be hanging around in New Leaf!

but yes, ive been playing acnl since 2013, and constantly resetting my town. its just fun getting a fresh start once in a while!

I've started playing it again while I wait for New Horizons. I'm working on getting the top Fairy Tale theme in my house and it has been so satisfying to do! I'm also landscaping the town a lot and I think I'm just going to go ahead and use amiibo cards for all of my villagers. Because, why not? I only have 9 villagers right now. and one is going to move out soon anyway. I'm just undecided who I should move in.

I've been playing it for 5 years and almost 2 months now, and I'm not sure if I'll buy New Horizons once I get my hands on a Switch someday.
Atm I'm trying to collect all of the snowman furniture (since I recently thought that my ice basement needed a change in appearance ), which is now kind of difficult since in less than a week, the snow will be gone, and I still haven't gotten one half of it as of today. (And I kind of regret not making this decision earlier, and thus, having sold some of those furniture pieces I got in the past, which I cannot order either! :O)
Once I know which pieces of furniture I still need, I'll post a topic regarding me offering furniture that someone else still doesn't have to trade for some pieces of snowman furniture.

Oh very much so xD I’m at least a year off from being able to get New Horizons, so NL is my main form of the game ‘til then. I admit I had kind of fallen out of it until recently, when I managed to get a save manager to work... but it’s really revitalized my interest, and has been allowing me to plan out multiple town types without struggling to get a bunch of cartridges, I’m having a load of fun thinking of different types of towns. (It also was great to go back to one idea i’d reset in a fit of boredom a few months ago & had regretted ever since xD)

I picked it back up this month and I’m having so much fun! I’m working on the completion of it rather than the social/trading aspect.
It’s nice to just slow down and talk to my villagers while I’m trying to catch the last few creatures for my index. Relaxing is definitely the word for it.

Shockingly yes, I'm too poor to get new horizons so I just stick with my villagers and my nice old town

Still playing it, but it’s not often than before, I usually play now to check on villagers, stopping them from moving out and that’s all.

I still play NL alongside NH! As much as I love NH, there's still a lot that I love about NL.

It makes me sad knowing so many aspects and mechanics of NL were omitted from NH entirely. Similarly to you, NL is very near and dear to my heart, and I dread the day the DS family, specifically 3DS systems, lose their online features, because I still have fun playing NL, and on some days, more so than NH.

I don't care for acnl and it gives me a headache to look at it now. I still check on my gamecube town but thats it as far as past ac games.

I actually just started playing NL. I absolutely love it. I’ve played WW for years and sadly only a week so got my hands on a 3DS and NL. It is easily one of my favorite games I’ve played.

yep!! i started again bc of hype for new horizons but now i'm too attached and i can't abandon my villagers. i also just bought a copy for my good friend (who only recently got a 3ds) so now we play together :'D

I just got it a month ago and still love playing it. Wished I knew about it when it first came out!
