Does anyone know how long a town can go without the ping?

I am picking up the game after a long hiatus... Its been like 5 days since one villager pinged to move out, and today, no one is pinging me. Does anyone remember how many days can pass before you get a ping? Should i just keep walking around? I keep thinking 5 days should be enough. Thanks for any help!

Hmm not sure exact number of days, but i wouldn't go over 5-6 days.. Just talk to all the villagers. Multiple times.. Keep bugging them until they talk about who's moving..or..

Do you know about villagers talking about spreading rumors or gossiping? I heard that when no one's planning to move yet, they'll mention something about rumors/gossips.. Depends on their personality-- for example, peppy villager will ask you to tell her the latest gossips, or normal villagers will say something like being careful before starting a rumor? And snooty will say rumors can hurt others or something..

When a villager is planning to move, other villagers will tell you "i heard so-and-so is thinking about moving.." but after i turn down the moving ping, they start talking about the rumors again.. So when someone mentions the rumors/gossips I feel pretty safe that no one's thinking about moving.

When they tell you a specific villager is planning to move and you don't get the ping, try save & quit & reload. Try to use mule characters (2nd or 3rd) too..

Hope it helped ;__;

Thanks thats helpful. Amd yes, i do feel a bit nervous. I feel like i should have gotten a ping. Oy! Gonna try walking again.

Yeah, I think you're usually safe when you talk to a couple of villagers until the point where they're mentioning other villagers' names and gossiping about them. When I was TT'ing a bunch, I did that, and nobody moved out on me that I didn't want to.

pings can happen at any time. but i've found they become more likely the closer a villager is to moving out.

I'm gonna post again in case anyone is interested or needs to know. I finally got a ping 6 days after the last move out ping. And it's not a ping I "missed" since Diana gave me a date 5 days out in which she intends to move. This is a bit surprising since I thought about 5 days is the time in between pings? Anyways, FYI!

I have had 2 experiences of 6 days. One in my original town and the other happened recently in my second town. In both towns I have a high friendship level with my town peeps. So I assumed that may be the reason.
