It's different in ACNH. You get a special concert from K.K. Slider on your birthday and get the song. Mine was on April 20th and I got the song on that day.

I was one of them haha. I had to TT backward to get it and it was annoying so I made it a mental note to not forget this year. My birthday is on a Saturday this year so I would have been fine this time around lol.
