It's sort of disappointing there's not more different trees in the game as 3 (4 if you count bamboo) seems sort of low. I'd love to have a tree garden with all sorts of different looking ones. Anyone else have a similar feeling?

I would love to have more ornamental tree types that were smaller and flowering. I just want a Magnolia tree! Or like others said, birch trees would be amazing. That would be a great series of items Leif could offer later on!
YESSS. i'd love to have more tree types and decorative options. trees are just for aesthetics on my island at this point (and i don't have many fruit bearing trees), so the more options the better. different tree sizes would be cool too, i miss that giant tree in the middle of town we got in new leaf.
Having Leif offer it would be a great idea! I'm curious how many years they'll support this game with updates.
Magnolia trees would be amazing! I have a huge one in my front yard and it's my favorite thing about my house. I can't help but think it'd be as simple as reskin-ing the current trees (like they've done in the museum) and adding big white flowers in place of fruit.

I think I read somewhere that they had years of content they were going to roll out. Hopefully that's true and something like this could be on the way!

Can't believe no-ones mentioned cacti yet.
We can place sand to plant palm trees anywhere. It would be so cool to be able to plant cacti in sand like that.

I actually completely forgot about Cacti. That would be a very welcome addition to be able to grow on the beaches that are sometimes harder to decorate. What about vines you could grow on houses or on the ground?
there are so many amazing looking trees in the bug area of museum!! i was just waiting for one of their saplings to appear in my shop once i'd upgraded, i was sad when it was still only cedars and hardwood saplings after a month of anticipation haha xD for some reason i really believed there'd be new trees in this game lol.
(from the trailer, idk why the taller and darker hardwood on the right wasn't added? i understand for maybe the huge tree or the ones standing in the water but this tree just loooks like its meant to be growing on the island? and the model is reused unlike the unique other trees so.. idkk)

I agree with others, I wish the fruit trees looked different to hardwood trees.
I'd love to see more types of trees, but another idea I had is, Leif could sell like a magic watering can that makes hardwood trees stay locked to a particular season? it wouldn't last forever, you'd have to keep watering the tree every few days, but it would give you heaps of variety for decoration. Imagine being able to have a cherry blossom tree in your zen garden all year round.... I just really miss having the Autumn Maple colours now it's Winter time, and my mushroom area looked so much nicer with red trees.
