Oh, that'd be really cute actually. It never occurred to me that Isabelle might have a crush on the player. I just thought it's the way she is - friendly, kind and thoughtful. I could see it either way~ I think she's just actually being friendly and is passionate about her work~ She can be pretty sassy and salty about us indirectly in HHD~ Haha! None the less, I think the ship for our mayor and Isabelle is adorable! She's the best little secretary pupper whether or not she's crushing on my mayors~ I just want to give the poor pup a better vacation than the RV! GO. TO. THE. BEACH.

I don't find Isabelle's public project works a problem since we must understand the position and space which each PWP needs.

Even Tom Nook follow a similar rule while placing our homes, after all there are upgrades which would consume more space.

About her having a crush on the player sounds kinda exaggerated.
It's not because you have someone who you admire and look up that you're really in love regardless of the gender so its pretty much fan headcanon.

She does give something in the Valentine's Day, but it's because the villagers would not give any presents.
