Does anyone else hate when their villagers do this

No, I get excited, because they may give me something cool or maybe a villager I want gone is hoping to move 😂

If anything, I get most irritated when it's a villager I want OUT and they just give me something or want a new catchphrase or something. They get my hopes up then crush them 🥺

yea.... i'm trying to filter out villagers for deers so i don't talk to the one i want to keep with bubbles.

Lmao yes I hate when that happens too. They scare me then give me a hideous t-shirt I'll never wear.

Unlike previous games, I'm pretty sure there's zero chance they'll move if you to tell them not to. I think NL would have a chance that they'd move even if you told them to stay. NH doesn't, they'll always stay if you ask, so no need to be scared.

I get alittle annoyed cuz I'm on my way to do something, then I feel like they are in stress and need me. Then they say, I don't want this sweater, here. Ugh.

Am I the only one who has entirely stopped talking to all "thoughtful" residents?

(Unless, of course, the thoughtful one is the one I'm planning on moving out.)

i personally don't find it annoying because i'm happy with my current villagers and don't intend on moving anyone in particular out, but i can see how it'd be stressful for people who are cycling

my personal favourite is when you talk to one (usually a lazy) and they go "i was thinking of something but i forgot what i was gonna say. oops!" and that's it. so cute and endearing imo ;o;

You have 15 days from the last move in where no one will ask to move. No one will ask to move on an event day or days when KK is there. I don't think campers moving in reset this cooldown either. I'm like 90% sure after my camper moved in, 4 days later a villager asked to leave.

on the bright side, nobody will end up leaving unless you explicitly tell them to gtfo lmao. this is definitely one of the things i like about nh because all my dreamies are forever to stay, unlike back in nl days.

either that or you're one of the people who button smashes out of habit and accidentally chooses the second option aka telling them to gtfo then in that case....F to you my good gentlefolk.

otherwise i wouldn't worry or feel scared whenever there's a thought bubble if i were you ^^

I feel like the moving bubble is rare compared to the other ones since they have a cool down, so I'm always surprised when a villager wants to move.

But yeah, since no villager can move without you encouraging them to, you don't have to be scared of a villager wanting to move. :)

Well yeah, but I usually wait until the game autosaves before I talk to them, so I can close the game out immediately after I talk to them and if they move out. Thankfully they never did.

On another side note, I have talked to the villagers I want to keep and never talk to the ones I don't (Most likely once and that's it) and the ones I never talked to have seemed to want to move out more than the ones I always talk to. Dang, moving out villagers have never been easier. Thankfully I have all my dream villagers so I won't go through this process again. Course if I have another game with my other switch i'll do this.

I feel your annoyance -- it's been 3 weeks since someone has asked to move out, so every time I see a thought bubble, I get my hopes up a bit to no avail. Usually, though, I don't mind seeing the thought bubble and my villagers are looking to sell, buy something from me, or trade with me.

It seems like it has been happening to me a lot more recently, but that's okay. It only takes a couple seconds and I get something for free.

I like when they do this, but I'm still in the middle of the time where no one will move out.
I'm just waiting for one of the four I'd let move out to ask if they should.

for me it's obvious when the thought bubble is a move out thought bubble. because it will remain on them same villager playing with my 2nd character.

i also do @Paperboy012305's trick of waiting for autosave before talking to them lmao. i do that because avoiding talking to the villager who thinks of moving out, it will transfer the thought bubble to a new villager the next day.

like said though, nintendo actually gifted us this new feature because villagers never move out on their own anymore. so it's ok to miss out on thought bubbles, or avoid when someone is thinking of moving out, because they won't unless you talk to them.

I'd rather have them give me a gift than ask me if I can catch a fish or bug for them, or if they can have some item I have on hand.
