Does anybody even look at badges?

I was wondering if anybody looks at other people's badges!
Thinking of restarting my town but I have so many gold badges that I feel a lil sad if I restarted...
But I don't think anyone really looks at them??

Im totally a creeper too XD I always check the bagdes! Its like my way to check "Hmmm... how much is this person into ACNL?" and Im like "Huuh?! you catch a lot of fishes and you have... wait... GOLD streetpass? where are you? Tokyo??" "Oh woah you go to the dream suit... Why am I not doing this...? Oh god" e_e

Yeah its very fun for me, Im always trying to get more badges and always checking them when someone comes to my town and when I visit the HHShowcase Im a maniac c:

It all depends if you are competitive in that level and that way. Remember in the end is just for having even more fun

BUT - my main aim in playing the game is relaxation, spot of fishing & a few tours etc, rather than gaining achievements - tho I am pleased when I get a badge or get something opened within the game. Nor am I a collectionist.

Depends why you want to reset - think carefully because you may find it a bind to have to go through all the initial expansions and shop openings.

I don't even know how many I've got. I talk to the sea lion dude when I see him but it's a case of "ugh okay, that guy again..." People actually pay attention to those things?

I look at people's badges too, just because I like to see how far ahead/behind they are compared to me. I'm very competitive...but I don't judge based on people's badges, so don't worry! I know that people have lives outside of Animal Crossing.
I am a little self-conscious of my current town's badges, though. The town is used for helping purposes and most people will know because it says so on my TPC, but I'm not collecting badges so people might think I'm a slacker. :c Not like I would do that with my actual town, though. Really, how can I focus on collecting badges when I just want to help people?

Badges? Gotta catch 'em all.

Badges will tell a lot about what kind of player you are. If you have only a few you're either new or don't do a lot in the game. Someone who has the fishing badge (which I don't have yet) has spent a lot of time fishing, meaning they also spent a lot of time playing.

Other badges will show you how often someone travels to another town, how often he/she invited people over to their own town and if they have a healthy bank account. If they carry a catalogue badge they might be able to order some of the items you are looking for, and if someone carries a gold weed badge he/she might be a time traveller.
