Do you write deep letters to your villagers?

I sent Tammy a shovel and told her to dig her grave. She sent me a trash can in return, saying it reminded her of me. And I was like "It. is. ON!"

hahaha oh god I love how everyone gets really creative when it comes to disliking villagers and telling them to move xD <3

I also told Barold that if he didn't get out of my town, I'd put him in my "meat grinder".

I say all sorts of horrific things to them...

I'm so glad you made this thread! I was actually pretty curious about this myself.

I send stupid little things that amuse me. They aren't random symbols nor are they particularly deep. I settle for vaguely coherent. I once asked a horse villager to request a racetrack pwp and asked Agent S if S was her real name. They're pretty stupid but I rarely have visitors in my village and feel relatively confident that nobody will ever see the letters I write so it doesn't really bother me.

i write real letters to my villagers, on the very rare occasion that i write them. i've been really lazy and basically don't write letters unless they're moving in or being given furniture though. i'm certain it's not just me that hates writing on the keypad? which is why i don't write much.

I love writing letters to my villagers. I wish I had time enough every day to write them all, but I tend to trade off writing to half the town every day, otherwise I'd be spending over an hour writing to them. I think it's fun though, and I make up little stories in my head about my mayor being friends (or not friends) with them. Sometimes they're deep, otherwise it's just friendly chatter.

The only times I am super short are if I'm sending them their furniture back, but even then I still write a real sentence or two (sometimes scolding them for their silliness).

Definitely not. Truth be told, I don't dislike writing letters nearly as much as I dislike chatting with actual players using that thing. It takes so long for me to type everything out that they've usually moved on to the next topic by the time I've finally finished my response. And then there's so little space within each individual speech bubble that it usually takes at least two of them for me to convey my message. It just ends up being way too stressful to be even remotely enjoyable.

I finally put a little warning in my about me section on this site apologizing in advance for anything that might be perceived as rudeness on my part.

I hate writing letters and I only do it to build up friendship so I usually just write "hello friend" and leave it at that lol

I used to write letters to my villagers but they were no where near heartfelt. Nowadays I'm too lazy to write letters to them.

When I'm sending them furniture I keep it brief and say something like "Please use this" or "Please wear this" if I'm sending them clothes. The exception is the first letter I send to a new villager, if the first thing I'm doing is sending them a new shirt I'll make it look like a warning letter from the Fashion Police.

I only really send letters while a villager is still new. Usually it'll be to ask them stupid questions or make dumb references like "WHY PENELOPE'S EARS BOW? FIND OUT NEXT TIME ON DRAGO BALL Z"

I try to keep my initial letters entertaining as a nice easter egg for a villager's new owner to find. Sometimes I mess up.

Pfft, I'm trying to get Tammy to leave. She just will not go >>;

Anyhow, I usually just write 'Present for you' or 'How are ya pal' and leave it at that. A few days after (!) Sly's birthday I wrote him a special Happy Birthday message parodying a videogame. He responded back super happy that I remembered his birthday.

I remember saying 'I hate you' in the old games usually got good results for getting villagers to hop it. Nowadays it's just 'Awww, thanks for writing sweetie here have a trash can' >>;

LOL I send them shirts all the time! I don't like certain styles in certain villagers so I'm always sending them the same shirt over and over again until they wear it :P thank god Whitney and Pierce decided to wear the Gracie shirts the first time I sent them lol I love how some villagers look in Gracie clothing, but it's so expensive to make them wear it! Fashion Police is always there, watching for newcommers.

Sometimes.
In City Folk, I wrote my first letter to Bones about going to have a lovely evening stroll with him in the town or something along the lines of that. Now that I look back at it, it seems really stupid ;////;

But I would reply to their letters as if carrying on the conversations. Like, if they said "come over to my house", I would respond with "I'd love to! We could discuss (insert topic here) and munch on (insert food here)".
