I guess the title describes my question. Do you write nice and deep letters to your villagers or just press random symbols with spaces so it fills the letter quickly?

I don't think I'm the only obssesive person that loves actually saying nice things to villagers in letters xD or why not give them a warm welcome when they move in!

(If there's a post with the same topic, I'm really sorry, I didn't see it before >.<)

I wouldn't say I write deep letters to them, but I do normally write a few things that sound like a short conversation.

I keep them short and simple, but I do use actual sentences you might write to a friend or neighbor.

I used to write deep, affectionate letters to my neighbors until my friends came to my town and my neighbors were literally showing my friends the letters. What jerks.

Most of my letters consist of telling my villagers how cute they are, and that we should hang out. Or, if I don't like them, I tell them to move and send them pitfall seeds... haha. I did that multiple times to Quillson, but he kept sending me nice gifts in return! Kinda made me feel bad. :p

well, same thing happened to me lol
I used to call Pietro "lovely clown" in every letter because I find him adorable! But now he's showing that letter to everyone... oh boy that's awkward haha

Once I sent a two-part letter to Jambette. It was a very detailed description on how I was going to mercilessly slaughter her if she didn't move out.

I do.

I always write welcome and farewell letters. I tend to write deeply about what the personality likes for example sport things to a jock, starlet and make up sort of things to a peppy; make up, face creams, high fashion to a Snooty; having tea or about books and recipes to a normal and I ask my kangaroo about her little one! I also use endearments that suit the different characters.

My partner takes his writing further than me. He writes to wish his villagers good luck at the fishing and bug-off contests, thanking them for letters and presents, etc.

I recall a friend in Lets go to the city/City Folk who wrote to one villager saying she loved him… of course the silly billy showed us the letter. It was hilarious! My daughter then 8 years and I were on the floor rolling with laughter. Soooo… I keep away from anything that might be misinterpreted.

I once got Pashmina from someone and the first thing she said in my town to me was "Look at awesome letter my friend from my hometown sent me!" and it said, with the same exact punctuation and grammar:

leav u boring sack of sht

lol!

Not really, I used to write full letters but they weren't really deep? Just vaguely nice things. I've never done gibberish or random symbols though. If I have to write a letter it's usually a short sentence or a random song lyric tidbit.

I did the same thing to Sylvia and she sent me a trash can in reply :U

I do! Well, sometime. If I'm trying to get them to use a piece of furniture or wear something, it's just a short letter that says something akin to "I hope you like this." Otherwise I write them a letter saying I'm glad we're friends or we should hang out soon. Things of that nature.

Same thing I do! n.n I work in giving my villagers certain themed items for them and attach a nice letter saying "Ordered this just for you! Hope you like it" or things like that :P

If I liked them, I'd send jokey/flirty letters that was related to their species (Like calling Elvis "king of the jungle"). If I didn't like them, I'd send them letters threatening to eat them. >:P

I write out proper sentences so it's not just gibberish. They're usually a bit silly, depends on my mood. :)

I sent Tammy a shovel and told her to dig her grave. She sent me a trash can in return, saying it reminded her of me. And I was like "It. is. ON!"
