I can't really argue that. If I tried to start watching NOW, seeing the complete mash-up of every fairytale and Disney movie, I'd probably give it a big nope.

I started watching it for season 4, I thought it was ok at first (Since I didn't see the first 3 seasons) But recently we got Netflix and I watched the first 3 seasons and now its one of my favorite TV shows, I can't wait for it to come on tonight

Some friends recommended this to me, but never explained WHY I ought to watch it, so I wasn't exactly convinced. I figured it was the generic "oh my god I love this thing so EVERYONE SHOULD WATCH IT" thing that people do when they've just gotten into something new, and I ignored it. Then we started a Netflix trial and it's been recommending Once Upon A Time to me since I put in a bunch of ratings. I don't know much about the show at all, so I'm hesitant to try and dive into it.

For one, I don't know how long it is. If it's huge, then that's a little... scary. Puts me off, kinda. If it's only a couple seasons then I can manage just fine.

I THINK someone told me it has a lot of badass ladies in it. If anyone can confirm this, I'm sold, hook line and sinker, signed sealed delivered (insert similar expressions here!) - all I ever want from my shows is a cast full of well-rounded, well-written female characters. Seriously, that's it. I don't even care about the plot as long as the characterization for the female characters is on point. Can any fans confirm/deny? Be honest with me!

I can confirm this. Snow White is a total badass, as is Emma Swan. And many others, but they stand out to me. There are others, but I don't wanna spoil too much.

Consider yourself confirmed. Many of them are badass indeed (ps, the 1st season is iffy but the next seasons get SO MUCH BETTER I can't even.)
