So I finally caved because I have been spending three last three days hopping dates just to try to find a heavy shower in the dates I require -- I don't need Celeste, just the shooting stars-- and I'm just tired of the crapshoot, especially when there's a tool to help.

That said, I am finding the database tough to use at the moment, but I'm going to keep plugging away until I figure it out.

Do any of you use it? Do you swear by it? Is all this headache going to be worth it? Throw me some encouragement! ;)

Going through the same process, I seem to have made an error somewhere so I have to start over again

I hand wrote everything. I think where I got hung up was, when adding gaps in the meteors, let's say you had a gap after minute three until minute six, you only put in the gap from 4 to 5. That threw me and I seem to have narrowed my seed correctly now but we shall see...

it's worth it. this is coming from someone initially said, "but i love surprises". irl, people predict the weather and we have news for it so i figured this is actually ok and i would love to not miss the light showers. without meteonook, i'd surely miss most of them because they are scheduled on such random times. for months where i won't have heavy showers (a lot) it'll be so helpful to know when i will get light showers for an opportunity to get zodiac fragments. i missed the taurus ones and i was like never again.

if nintendo ever changes how the weather goes, i'll be so pissed. seems like they've been reading guides discovered online and try to change it with updates. look at the fruit gifting being removed

ive tried to use meteonook because i think predicting when you have meteor showers would be super super useful! however i just find it super confusing :/ so even though i want to use it, it just totally frustrates me logging in my weather patterns. like ill add in a weather pattern but then theres this number i also have to add and i dont know what it means??

maybe im just dum dum but short answer: no but i would like to!

DANGIT I INPUTTED ALL THAT AND I HAD THE WRONG HEMISPHERE!!! *** expletive deleted **** KGO DYSITZITZITDTD ***expletive deleted***JOJMSSDYHB ***head*** hit *** table ****

Well.

*starts AGAIN.* Third time's the charm, right?

If it helps any, I was getting someone's seed for them and I ended up just putting in a bunch of the screenshot data as "unsure no rain/snow" and "unsure rain/snow" and ended up figuring it out perfectly. :)

I'm having difficulty with it as well. and idk if tting is is messing up the results. i mean im putting in the time/date im actually on but dk if that would be the weather if i hadn't tt'ed. also im confused because it has narrowed it down to a few possible seeds but the info listed doesn't make sense. for example i put in sunny for 2 consecutive hours but when i check the possible seeds and it will say clear/fine all day. obviously since i put in sunny for the last 2 hours it can't be sunny all day, right? i dont get why that would even come up.

i remember it took me the whole night to find my weather seed 😭
my advise would be, don't input an info if you're not sure of the weather type on that hour. better to just input those you have a clear sky view when the hour started. i remember i removed everything that i wasn't sure of and only put weather types that literally have screenshots of during the starting hour :00-:10, and eventually found mine.

Tt should not matter because the seed is the seed regardless of what you do. If you note a heavy meteor shower, that shower will ALWAYS be on that date if you travel to it, down to the same minutes you had shooting stars.

I use it. Only input the minutes you have stars and don't bother with the seconds. Double rainbows and rainbows are good data points.

Clouds and rain isn't that helpful if you are unsure. Checking for nights when Celeste is there is good too even if you dont have star data.

I'm pretty sure I missed some nights when Celeste was on my island because I didnt look for her. It's nice knowing the days she might potentially appear and letting friends know when I have a big shower.

Oh my gods, you guys, I DID IT!! This will seriously be game changing for me.

For those still working on it, I found it easiest to work with a heavy shower, and then write the times (pictured here in minutes after 7pm) and note the amount of stars I counted for those minutes. When inputting the data to their chart, you don't need to know the exact second, just put them in as repeats of the minute. Then I added gaps where they existed. For every zero, you count that minute only. So blanks in between 6 and 10 only count as a gap from 7 to 9. I hope that makes sense...

Also, make sure you have the right hemisphere, guys. Lol

I do. Took me a bit to get my seed. I mainly check it for the meteor showers nowadays. But it stinks that if I checked it more I would've seen my first rainbow by now instead of missing it on 5 different occasions lol
