I time travel,to get hints done quicker like getting the QR sewing machine from Sable the hedgehog and house renovations. So do you bother? (When replying to this thread be respectful. I don't want any fights on if you do or not)

I did at the start of my town to get my first eight villagers so I could start adopting dreamies. I've done it off and on since then, currently trying not to tt.

i've done it in the past, (particularly when i first got the game and was impatient to get shampoodle lol) but i'm trying to not do it at all in my new town. there's no shame in it, but something abt it makes me feel so guilty!! the villagers... they know what you diiiiid.....

oh and also i'm way too lazy to keep going back and forth between 3DS settings and booting up the game LOL

I remember time travelling a bit back when I played ACGC so that I could attend morning aerobics or a holiday, but I've stopped doing it now.

I don't mind waiting for things to grow or something to be built, since I can generally find other things to do in town. It makes me feel a bit more as though I belong, rather than just overseeing things.

I honestly do, but I really want to try not to. It?s a habit for me to time travel, however, it would be fun to experience playing without time traveling. I have time traveled in every Animal Crossing game I have ever owned, and the towns got boring pretty quickly. I still enjoyed it, but it seems like I accomplished everything so quickly. I always wanted to experience playing real time and not time traveling, but unfortunately, I don?t think I can. It has become a habit and a part of the game for me.

I have noticed a few people look down on time travelers. It?s okay if it isn?t your way of playing Animal Crossing, but time traveling is a personal decision. I would never look down on someone for their personal decision of time traveling. It?s not really a bad thing and I wouldn?t even consider time traveling to be cheating. It?s implemented in the game as something you can do. Anyone can time travel, and Nintendo wouldn?t have implemented the feature if they did not want people to time travel.

I do it all the time, on both my towns! I love shopping, seeing if someone's in the campsite or moving in, seeing who wants to move out, looking at the retail board, etc!

I normally don't, but today I returned to my original town after 3-4 years of not playing it at all. I've been messing with the clock to make Re-Tail be open (I needed to sell a lot of junk and I was awake past midnight) and to make my backlog of mail arrive faster.
I'm not going to mess with my second town's clock since I don't have a reason to right now.

I do when its more convenient for me:
  • Right now I?m tying to get my 10 dreamies move in. Here I TT because I want to be able to do trades with other people again without the fear of someone moving in from the void and so I can remove all those designs I had to place down for the sake of plot resetting.
  • When I go bug hunting and miss the time for retail to be open, I usualy TT back a few minutes to sell my stuff.
  • I also use TT to make up for lost time. When I started playing again, the snowy season was almost over but I wanted to be able to collect the snowman furniture. So I re-did a month to collect all the items before the snow was gone.
  • The biggest thing I do with TT is space out my playing time a bit more evenly. I seem to not be the player who has time every day and sometimes I loose interest for a few months. So I like to go back in time more closely to where I left of and do the "daily" work of several days in one, until I catched up to the current date. I really like this because it lowers the pressure to be in my town every day even if I dont have time. Sometimes I will play a few days in advance so I can have a little "buffer" and still be up-to-date even if I suddenly get busy.^^ll There are a few things throughout the year that I havent done yet and I want to be able to finally do these. I exspect to have switched over to the Switch game at least by next winter, so if this is my last year in my NL town - I want to get as much done as possible ^^

Overall, I?m happy that TT is not harshly punished in AC games because it fits better for my playing style.

Yeah. I’m going to try not to time travel on Animal Crossing Switch. At least, I’m going to try not to time travel that much. Hopefully there is an Animal Crossing Switch.

If time traveling was punished as severely as powering off your game without saving, Resetti would have murdered me.

I rarely time travel. The only time I do it is to get the EXACT time from where I live. This means that my town isn't a few seconds behind or ahead.

i have tt'd a lot in the past, but i'm trying not to do it as much as what i used to!
but i very well may just to get past all the starting tutorial stuff. i mean, i seen it many MANY times, so i'm ready to move past it.

hmmmm occasionally, i used to do it a lot back when i was getting my dreamies. now i'll just travel a few hours (e.g. to order from the catalog without waiting until 5PM) but never more than a day. i wouldn't change the season or anything like that.

I time travel constantly, but I always feel pretty disoriented with the game afterwards ;v; (for instance, sometimes, I would get a request from a villager, time-travel, and forget that I wouldn't be able to complete it anymore www)

Since I've been playing New Leaf since release, I've started time traveling in my newer towns. Since there's no real element of surprise for what something you have to wait for is going to be anymore, I don't really a point in waiting for it. When/if a new Animal Crossing game comes out, I likely won't time travel until I've hit a point where I've done most everything.

I haven't time traveled myself, except for one time when I had to fix the time in the game. I personally find the New Leaf experience more authentic without time traveling. :)

Main town- Only time travel back if I was late starting. Waited for all the building and shops.

Guest town- It's a place I let visitors in to sell their perfect fruit/turnips. If I have a high turnip price or fruit I'll stay on that date.
That town plays late February to late September and than I do a big jump. I've been playing since the release so I don't need to play all the holidays now. I also prefer spring and summer.

Casual and Spare Towns- I do time travel ahead to make weeds and grow more fruit. I also time travel ahead to Sunday to check the turnip buy prices when one of my real towns has high turnip prices. Like to buy and sell on the same day.

In my main town, only when I missed a shop, or when adopting a dreamie/giving away a villager (availability reasons) but I don’t think I have time traveled more than 2 days there. I think I have tt when I missed a visit, but it was only once. I try to avoid it ever since my villagers started talking rumors about it. I always set back to actual time.

Im Time traveling in one of my towns. Mainly because I?m just reeeaally impatient. I like playing for a few hours in one session and after completing my daily routine idk what to do anymore so I TT. But only one day at a time. This way the game doesn?t know I tt haha. Also, it prevents my villagers from moving out.
In my other town i don?t time travel. I enjoy both ways!
