No. Simply for the fact that 10 years later I continue to play Wild World. Now, what I imagine is that I won't lose interest per say, just I won't play it daily like I have been. Using WW as a comparison, I'd say sometime in 2016 I finally miss my first day playing New Leaf. That easily won't be until probably the summer solstice as that will begin my 4th repeated year of events. The first was nice, I didn't know what I was doing, the second was good, I knew what I was doing, the 3rd I collected them for trades and such, but the 4th is starting to get to be a bit much. That's the way it was with Wild World in 2008 after 3 years straight of daily play. New Leaf is starting to feel like yeah, it's great, but I'm probably going to take a day off come that day, I really don't need a 4th pair of ladder shades...
Yeah, I'm going to lose interest in ACNL someday, maybe after I've fixed my dream town. What keeps me going is that I have a long way to go, so I'm still motivated to fix my town because I have a lot more to do, plus I promised myself that this town I have right now would be turned into the town of my dreams. <3
Animal Crossing isn't my childhood game, so I'm not really keen on sticking with it throughout the whole series. (I'm more of a Pokemon person so yeah x) )
Like many people have said before me, I play ACNL in phases. Right now I'm in the "on" phase, and this will probably go on for another few weeks before I lose interest and stop playing for a couple months.
I did lose interest for a while after making my "perfect" town, because there wasn't anything for me left to do and I felt like conversing with the villagers became a daily chore I had to do just to keep them. I kinda let the town go and Stitches moved into a bad spot and I don't really care. But my interest in the game came back after several months so I just bought a new cartridge yesterday and I'm planning on going through and redesigning a new town. I feel like the same characters and same layout do get stale after a while and I do find that the game can become frustrating, so maybe having a second one will be better!
I tend to play games so often that I lose interest in them eventually anyway though, it's not just with Animal Crossing. I always want to start up again at some point later down the line for all of em!
When I have a hard semester of classes, ACNL is nonexistent in my life. I love to look at it and reblog about it on Tumblr but if I pick it up at all during that time i'll fall asleep playing it. During summer and winter breaks I get obsessive and want to play all the time. But I have the worst habit of constantly resetting my town. I've never "finished" a town.
I did recently, but after buying hhd and finishing it I got back to playing it again. I had to TT back a whole month and two weeks so I didn't lose anything. Lol I'm still trying to catch up
I've only recently gotten back into playing New Leaf. I was horrified when I opened up my town to see that one of my favorite villagers, Fang, moved away D: And now I am diligently playing at least twice a week just so that Punchy won't leave </3. Hehe.
Probably not, I've been playing for a year (almost 2) though I do wish in the future they would make another version of ac that has more awesome things to do. New Leaf is great as is but just think about what they could do next!
