I'm inclined it'll happen at some point, but not anytime soon.

it's been stated that Nintendo will rerelease the Amiibo cards in the summer for Japan, so if they're going to release a new series it would probably be around then. I hope they do as it would make villager trading a lot more affordable for the new animals.

If the Raymond monopoly and price gouging doesn't die down, I plan on crashing the market by issuing free Raymonds through amiibo provided

* Fixes Adopting glitches related to Amiibo
* It's possible to bring him back to town through amiibo immediately after kicking him out via another amiibo.

Tbh I would buy an amiibo figurine of Orville and Wilbur if they do release them, and knowing Nintendo it’s probably going to happen at some point considering they constantly trying to push amiibos out. As for the cards, I hope they release them as well! It’s possible that once Raymond’s amiibo card data is dumped online people are going to replicate them on new NFC chips and sell them.

Theoretically, if there's another wave of 100 coming like series 1-4 were with 17 NPCs and 83 villagers, even with the new and returning NPCs we got in WA/NH/PC, there could be room for the 65-73 cut villagers (depending on if the 6 e+ promo villagers, Champ and Jane ever return) from the GameCube era to return... maybe they could do one wave that's entirely returning villagers and another that's brand new faces?

I think it’s too early to release a new series with such a few amount of Villagers, BUT if they decide to bring some old ones back, which are like over 70 or make more new ones, I could see it.
