Do you think they'll make 'dead' trees in NH?

I'm working on my horror island and man... would it be great if I could get some dead-looking trees in my forest.
I never played much of NL, but do you think they'll put something like the 'deciduous trees' in NH?
I think it would be great and allow people to customize their towns even further!
I'm so tired of the same old trees xD

On another note- what do you think of Nintendo making MORE trees?
IE: Weeping willows, elm trees, birch, dracaena?
I would die for an update like this!

I miss the perfect fruits from New Leaf, not only that but the fact that after harvesting a few times the tree became bare and dead, which was really good if you want to set a mood around some character/villager house...

I feel like Nintendo already dropped the ball on wood. We have three different kind of trees and three different kinds of woods, but it's all gained randomly. If all trees were assigned their own wood, then you could add new ones with new wood and new recipes containing them.

Yes! That would look so amazing! And if they were to add other types of trees, weeping willows would really be cool to up the 'creepy' factor!
I don't know why I haven't seen people suggest this ; A; It would be such a good addition to the game!

I would be totes fine with that! Only if the DIYs were the same size and similar in style to the current trees. I wouldn't want to have a 'tree DiY' the size of my character... Even if I couldn't shake/chop the new trees, as long as I had them looking like real trees, I wouldn't care!

Of course, ideally, I would want to be able to plant them so I could put other items underneath them, but hey, beggars cant be choosers.

Oh so that's how it worked! I didn't get far in NL, but after looking around the interwebs for 'dead trees ACNH' I stumbled upon the deciduous trees in NL xD

Yeah, I will never get why they did that xD I always thought that Palm would have soft, Cedar would have hard, and the normal/fruit would have your basic wood. But whatever lol.

Someone said they could implement them as DIYs- which wouldn't be ideal, but at least we would have them. TBH Nintendo can find a way around things like wood. They can find a way around a LOT of things imo

new tree varieties would be nice! i doubt that’d be anytime soon, though, as they’re likely more focused on dishing out the bigger stuff like events and npcs ;v;

I’d like dead trees but I hated when my perfect fruit trees had limits on how many times they could be shaken before they died.

I hope so! I loved seeing how people worked dead trees into their towns in NL. They’ll look even cooler now that we can add items on the ground too. Spooky towns are awesome already and I love visiting them, but this will take it to the next level.

The dead trees can be a diy for the mason jar drink that I desperately want yank from my villager's tiny paws.

Perfect fruit can be golden fruit now. Bam new diy.

On the other hand, having all types of wood drop from all types of trees means you aren't required to maintain all three types of trees in your town to access all three types of wood, so that flexibility is nice. You can forgo fruit and only have cedar trees, you can have only palm trees, you can have only fruit/hardwood trees, etc.

I don't want trees to die, but it would be nice if you can intentionally buy dead trees that look like this.

Honestly, I'd be super happy to have more than 3 types of trees in general. I am going for a natural look for most of my island, so the more plant life types, the better.

I think it’ll either come in the form of a DIY or from perfect fruits, which might come back in a farming update at some point in time.

I thought for sure the nature day update would bring perfect fruit, now I doubt we'll get it at all.
