Do you think they will add perfect fruit later?

I really hope so! Perfect fruits would bring dead trees back! Unless they change that aspect (which would be extremely sad).
Maybe they could make the perfect fruit give you the strength of 10 villagers if you eat one. If they bring perfect fruit back, they're going to be surrounded. I got tired of a particular person just taking them without asking.
If Nintendo's intent is to bring everything they can back from previous games then naturally they will. That said, it just feels like it'd be weird to me for them to just drop it in after months of not having it, given that it feels like something that would've been more suited for the beginning of the game, so I'm not expecting they'll add it.

Without perfect fruit, I feel planting lots of fruit trees in ACNH is pointless except for decoration purposes & as gift to villagers. Making money is slower as we have to wait for its regrowth. However, with perfect fruit, it's a different story. I would love for the feature to be added, their colours are different too.

I could go either way with perfect fruit. Apples are my island's native fruit and I certainly wouldn't complain about having perfect apples, since they look really nice. I also really liked that the perfect fruit trees would die after you harvested them enough times; it really adds to the atmosphere of my main, horror-themed New Leaf town.
Do I think they'll be added? No. I feel like if they were going to be present in this game, it would have been the most sensible to have them included from the very beginning. Their random reintroduction would feel forced and awkward to me, honestly. But again, they do look nice, so whatever. I wouldn't write off their chances of being reintroduced into New Horizons as 100% impossible or improbable or anything because hey, they can add whatever they want, but I lean more toward it being unlikely.

I hope they bring back perfect fruit... but I hope it's not just limited to our native fruit. It would be nice if any fruit tree could produce a perfect fruit - or several, like in Pocket Camp. And maybe some other use for it, besides more bells.
I also hope they bring back bananas, lemons, mangos, persimmons, and add some new ones like plums, grapefruit, avocado, and pomegranate. Bringing back the edible mushrooms would be fun, too!

I kinda hope not! I wouldn't be able to get perfect apples then, because I started with peaches this time and it took me long enough to reset for an island with a blue airport and a big peninsula. I know people like peaches, but those apples look so gooooood.
