Nowadays there's a lot of technology created for the convenience of humans. There's stuff like auto vacuum where the thing just moves on its own and also humans are trying to build a robot maid (saw it on the news once) and stuff like that.. Last time when i was on the street i saw a guy riding this circle hover board . idk what its called but its like a tyre and there's pedals for you to stand on and you just control it where to go with idk what kind of method. Though i gotta admit it looked cool but technology like these make me think that we humans are becoming lazy. I wouldn't even be surprised if there's an auto lawnmower in the future.

yeah, but it is pretty neat to see our technology advance over time. goes to show what we're capable of creating. but i dont have any intentions of buying a hover board or anything of the sort. they do look cool, but i can walk. i dont need help doing something as simple as that

It definitely is. Technology advancements have a lot of ups and downs. I do think it's making us lazier. For instance, technology has made it easier for people to be entertained without leaving their home. TV, video games, computers, and so forth have increased sitting duration. People don't even pay attention in class because they're addicted to their cell phones. Young adults at my college are constantly staring at their phone or laptop during class. I'm afraid one day we'll end up like the people in the WALL-E movie.

At first, technology was made for innovation in the sense that it was convenient. Now though, everything feels automated and that means less work for us. Just take something like one of those June Ovens or whatever they're called. Now you don't need to determine how long a chicken needs to be cooked or watch on it to make sure it doesn't burn, the thing practically does it for you!
Too much of anything can be bad for you; and that includes convenience.

yeah its making us lazy the technology but at the same times its just making our life easier to advance a process

It makes us lazy even if the technology isn't doing things for us! I try to avoid it, but I do still come on here and play New Leaf a lot. I'm going to cut back on my usage of this site little by little, eventually only coming on at night or every few days. I'll play New Leaf at night for a limited amount of time. Even just these little things prevent me from getting things done like laundry and cleaning, and I want to spend more time with my baby. He already gets plenty of attention from me, but he demands CONSTANT attention or he gets cranky, so I would rather him be happier to make it easier on all of us...

imo its not technology thats making people lazy its the people themselves. you can get off your ass and do something or you can sit on your phone all day thats your choice, the phone isnt holding a gun to your head
i think things like auto vacuums and dishwashers are more of a convenience, like if for example youre a single parent with a toddler roaming around the house you can just let the vacuum do the work while you take care of your child. but people are still gonna use them even if they have nothing else important to do but eh thats their choice i guess.

ever since those boards with wheels on them (i refuse to call them hoverboards because they aren't hovering)
had existed, yeah i think its making us lazier.

Technology doesn't make us lazy. The Internet makes us lazy.

Lazy isn't personally the word I would use, though.

yes. i can't wait to see what humans look like in the future.

I personally haven't ever seen people using them instead of walking. They seem like something that mostly kids/teens use for fun, like wheelies back in the day. So I don't think they make people "lazy", they're more just for fun? maybe they're just not as popular where I live though.

I don't think technology makes people "lazy" at all though, but it's a pretty broad question. Do TV's/phones/game consoles make people lazy? I'd say no because before those things existed people would be reading books and playing board games, watching TV doesn't make you "lazier" than someone who chooses to read instead. OP mentioned robots and auto-vacuums, in my opinion such a low number of people actually have access to things like that so it's irrelevant to the rest of the population becoming "lazy".

In recent years students can be in school/college/university all day, and come home and have mountains of homework still to do, there's so much pressure placed on them for exams and stuff too, many college/university students also work a job to help pay for their education because it's so expensive now. Are these kids lazy just because they like to spend the little freetime they have on the internet instead of being outside? No.

Honestly, things change. Saying that technology is making people lazy makes me think of 90 year olds that say people are lazy for using washing machines instead of washing by hand and taking the bus instead of walking for 2 hours.

mmm I agree with Fleshybro
I think that technology gives us more time for hobbies so it depends on the person's choices.
If someone wants to spend the time it would take to vacuum the house watching TV, it's on them. However, someone else might use the time to go for a jog or to study.
We do have to memorize less; my old teacher always talked about how he had to memorize the decimal form of 1/8 and we don't.
