Personally, I feel all men should wear Japanese school girl uniforms. If only men wearing skirts/booty shorts were more publicly acceptable, I'm sure the world would be a happier place.

The game allows you to wear all the clothing and accessories regardless of your character's sex or gender so go for it. Many of the accessories seem very gender-neutral to me and the game considers them to be in the men's or women's sections (like some of the hats) but I buy them anyway.
