I was scrolling past my facebook feed earlier yesterday and passed by a shared article about someone saying that the new pokemon S&M game should be optimmized for N3DS and there were a ton of comments.Tbh,it would be a bit unfair. Not all of us have money to spend on a new console because one game decides to go exclusive for that console :/ It would be nice to have it play on any 3DS console so all fans could enjoy it.Just some of my thoughts

Nah since it's such a big thing, they'll have it open to everyone with a 3DS. They could include exclusive uses of the c-stick and the ZL, ZR buttons in the games though. Just a thought.

I would be extremely upset if that were the case, but since Pokemon has such a huge fanbase, I don't think they'll make it exclusive to N3DS only ^^

I would be extremely upset if they did this. I'm not about to upgrade my older 3DS XL as its just not worth it to me and I just don't have money to blow on a system anytime soon. That and everyone knows the 3DS is coming to and end sometime shortly so I'd rather save money for the next gen console than have to buy an upgraded 3DS for like one game. ._.

Plus they don't have a New 3DS XL in a colour I like here it's either red or black, ugh. Why no blue!?

In Europe there's blue but no red...

Thing is, Pokemon has most of the time been handheld exclusive while console is more likely to be either single player only, or a battle only thing or stuff. Think about it. Pokemon Stadium is mostly either Pokemon battling or mini-game. Pokemon: gale of darkness and the other one (Don't remember the title) is an adventure game which ended up being most of the time single player and the coliseum one reacted to the handheld version of Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald. Pokemon Ranch and Pokemon battle revolution interacted with the Pokemon games Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum.

Now correct me if I am wrong as I do sometimes forget a few. But I think although they said it will not be a handheld exclusive, I still believe it will be. But like I said, correct me if I am wrong. i am just saying through experience and my opinion.

That's not at all what was asked or said. The OP asked if it will be exclusive to the N3DS, like how Xenoblade Chronicles 3D can be played on an N3DS but not a regular 3DS or 2DS (hence it's N3DS-exclusive). With the announcement of Sun & Moon it was confirmed that these games will be available to all systems in the 3DS family. They will not be available to the Wii U or NX.

Edit: To clarify, N3DS refers to the New 3DS.

I hope to god that they don't. I don't wanna blow a hundried bucks on a new system just for pokemon.

I have done that before tho....

I keep forgetting there is a New Nintendo 3DS. Thanks for clarifying that.

honestly tho, i dont mind paying a few hundreds for a n3ds just for pokemon even tho my current one is still in good condition. im a big fan of pokemon.

I wouldn't mind either. But with money becoming an issue for us and all, I rather stay with the old 3ds I have until it is close to its end or when I really do need to switch it out because new games I like are new nintendo 3ds only.

I think they'll be enhanced maybe much like HG/SS were supposedly DSi enhanced, but I don't expect them to be exclusive.

If they changed it to N3DS they'd lose a lot of money. Or because of the hype, they'll earn a lot (because people would buy the console), and it's already been confirmed it wasn't going to be strictly N3DS. But I don't want to go out and buy a new console I'll only use once to play a game that has been hyped for so long, so no, please.

Obviously not, because not everyone is going to have a N3DS and it would suffer in sales because of it.

If it was enhanced with the N3DS like Gen 5 was with the DSi/3DS, I would be happy for that.
