in my last game I'd campsite reset and trade for the villagers I wanted
I've gotten more lax about it & now I leave it up to luck once I have 8 villagers.

sometimes I get someone crappy and sometimes I get someone great.
Static just moved in and I think he is adorable! sometimes I end up with villagers I never met in game or wanted to trade for and I end up loving them.
I like the unpredictability and surprise.

HBU?

I let my game move in whoever and then i bought whoever i could with BTB bells. The only random move in i have still is Pietro and Molly was starting villager. The rest now were bought/traded for here.

the random moves ins i still have are Kyle, Static, Pashmina, and Broccolo (u cant win em all)
kyle is staying in my town forever

I actually leave it up to the game. It's fun to see who I get. Mostly they come from the people I streetpass with, but I don't really mind that much. I never bought a villager, but I have sold 2 that were in boxes.

I did that in my main town, let in the random villagers move. Walt and Apollo were the only decent villagers I got. I was actually very happy when Apollo moved in. He was a villager I had seen in someone's town and I immediately hoped he would move into my town. I never knew I would get this lucky to have him as my 9th villager. As for my second town I didn't let any random villagers move in. I TTed a day forward and started making a new character file until one of my dreamies appeared. It was a hassle to do though. I've never sold any of my old villagers but I did pay for only Marina (forums bells), Beau (5mil), Skye (300k) and Erik (forum bells).

I don't mind having random villagers move in. I just trade them out for dream villagers in the future. ?・ᴗ・` If I get tired of those villagers, I then come up with a different list and swap them out so I'm always happy!

It's always good to keep your town full with dreamies, just in case there's that one villager that decides to live in your town who doesn't even fit the theme. u n u

I plot reset for hours trying to get a villager into the right spot (skye)

And then diana turned up at my campsite and I have 10 villagers.. Oh the irony

Random move ins means trampled flowers for me xD

I think my favorite random move-in was Willow. Well, through Streetpass anyway. When I found her plot, I'm like -_- then I looked up who she was I'm like <3 LOL

If I let someone move out, then the first guy who camps who is not Sylvia is the new villager. Keaton is my newest this way :3

I let the game pick who move in. Sydney in my main town moved in the wrong spot at the time. Months later I finally figured out how to fix it.

My third town picked up 2 villagers from my TT town. Villagers were moving in and out of my TT town a lot. I picked them up from visiting the town too much. That town is now a real one and I picked up my last villager from a town I was closing and resetting.
The villager asks about Town Crazy and I'm tempted to say it's gone. But that wouldn't be nice. Instead on days he asks about Crazy I write him a letter. Write that the mayor says hi and everyone is okay. He hasn't talked about Crazy in awhile.

I just let the game pick. I don't have any "dreamies" so I don't see the point of going through the effort of plot resetting.

I don't, sadly. I'm a huge "researcher" when it comes to a new game, and ever since I got ACNL I looked up the available villagers and how to get them. I was plot-resetting for MONTHS to get my "dream" villagers. It all started with Rolf...I saw they had a white tiger and just HAD to have him, lol!

Absolutely not. I've already lived through the horror of being forced to send away a dreamie because the game decided to move them in WITHOUT MY PERMISSION in a terrible, terrible spot (Knox.....y u do this to me bb, don't you know I love you?!)

So no, as soon as I have 8 villagers, I never transition to the next day without resetting and I try to fill that slot a.s.a.p. with a dreamie that I'll invite from the campsite or my cycling town.

Yes, I take random move-ins. I would love to meet every villager in the game (if I can) so I let anyone move in even the ones that I don't find cute coz I know that I'd end up loving them anyway. :)

I don't really get random move-ins anymore because I have ten villagers, but I got Tia and Cheri from this and I've kept them :)

No. I choose my villagers using other towns (cycling). I try to keep them at full when I visit or I let someone visit.

I like to leave things to fate. I don't plot reset, camp reset or villager reset. I takes more time getting the villagers that I want, but I like it best that way.

I always let the game pick! It keeps things interesting, but not so great when you really don't want the new animal moving in...
