I truly don't agree with any of this statement. First of all, why do you have to respect him simply because he's an authority figure? You should respect a person based on their work or accomplishments, not based on rank or stature. I would rather see my own children think for themselves than blindly follow
anyone's orders.
Secondly, we have suffered at the hands of the single worst president in American history for 8 years. Bush was too conservative... nearly fascist. Need proof? Look at the so-called "Patriot Act." Not since Nazi Germany has something that so blatantly trounced on the personal freedoms of the citizenry been passed into law. We truly
need the alternative, someone who stands on the far left, to balance things out.
Finally, I hope he does get re-elected, but I know he probably won't. He simply could not do enough reform to satisfy the populous who have elected him.
And, to those who shout that McCain should have been elected, sure. Why not. His views and strategies almost mirrored President Obama's. The only thing he had against him is his age and poor health coupled with a near-****** vice presidential candidate.
