Just curious to see how many people do this. I typically do, seeing as I want to utilize as many spots as I can to use patterns I fall in love with. I leave one space to scan a new outfit every once in a while, but I don't particularly need more than that.

What about you? Do you store paths and other useful patterns on your mayor or do you leave it to the mule characters?

I leave one space to scan outfits as you do, but I have my main path on mine. I don't have another character yet, but when I do make her I'll store the four corner pieces I need and the other six Will be other details I want to add.

I store my path pattern on my mayor. I normally just wear the clothes the game already provided so I don't need to save space for that. Maybe a wallpaper or carpet for my home but not much else...

I have never had a second character so I logically stored all patterns on my mayor, though just a week ago I made a second character I'm going to use for my main path, so I can finally use a nice path with borders. :blush: The path I'll be using has 9 patterns, so I will have one left I could use for other things. The tiles I made myself (two patterns) that I use for side paths, are on my mayor. It's easy for editing them and I won't miss the spaces. I also have a flag-pattern that I put down at my train station, which is also on my mayor. I don't really use any decorational patterns other than paths, so I don't need any more characters for that.

I use 6 of the spots on my mayor for labeling the wrapped presents at my town plaza, but as far as the stepping stone patterns, I made those on a side character. I use the other spaces on my mayor to make clothes and put them up in the Able Sisters so my villagers can wear them. c: I have one pro-design shirt that I wear whenever it's hot outside, but other than that, I just wear the Kiddie Smock and the chino pants. I don't typically use the QR machine though. I like to make my own stuff just so I can change it to match the grass and display it for my villagers to wear. Also, it helps keep my town a bit more original and unique. ^^ Not to say that I don't like it when towns use other peoples' patterns/clothing! ^^;

I have a path, which has both, single tiled paths and wider path options, so i really need two characters. Most of the paths are stored on my second character, which resembels my girlfriends character and the small paths are on my mayor. they are fewer so i have like 4 slots left for other stuff =)

Yesss, it took up all seven slots and left one for a clothing QR cord design. I don't know if I really want to start a second character, I just want one for now lol though it would be nice so I could have more slots to make as many pathways and such... o:

The pathway, stepping stone and bush are stored with the mayor.
I just have a one tile pathway pattern. Enough room to store 2 dresses.

I do, since I only use a dirt path qr for my whole town as well as a stone pattern and one qr code dress.
I have 2 other alt. characters in town for the purpose of landscaping.

My main 4-ish path patterns + the flag are on my mayor since I play that character the most. Everything else is/will be on alt characters.

On my mayor I usually have:
1 clothing spot
1 flag spot, but since your flag design space can be changed without erasing your flag, sometimes I use this spot for other stuff.
2 extra spaces (right now one is a cafe menu and the other is a pattern I'm using for custom furniture)

The rest for paths, but usually not my 'main' paths. For example, in one, my mayor has a single-square type path because it only takes up 6 squares. I tend to keep my full paths on a second character, since some paths take up almost all of the space.

On secondary characters I use them almost exclusively for paths because they take up so many spots.
2 vertical
2 horizontal
1 middle
4 edges

It's a bit different for each of my towns though. I think in one of them I have part of my main path on my mayor and the other pieces on another character.

You don't need to keep the flag in your patterns if you don't want to. It's stored separately, sort of like when you display something on one of the mannequins at the Able Sisters shop.

I store all slots for paths but one for clothing! I haven't made another character yet. I'm just getting started again in my town. It's nice to have it on my mayor because if I want to change it, I can easily do so since it's in her slots, and I don't have to change to another character >.<;
