I am in the I will if I feel like it xD(I am kind of lazy) when the game first came out I went little crazy on hitting rocks and I still have good stash of stones and iron and clay.
definitely a lot less than i used to now that i'm not grinding so much for materials/have already crafted most of the stuff i need. but i really should now that i've got some amiibos and their crafting requirements ain't cheap!
I don't know about every single day, because I can overlook it sometimes between distractions or otherwise just forgetting. But when I remember to do so, I hit them all. I see it as a waste for me not to do so, because the money rock is a free 16,000 and the materials can be crafted into items and flipped for bells at the Nookling store.
i sometimes hit them if i need some resources but my left joycon drift is so bad that there’s a 90% chance i’ll end up turning around and digging a hole after only getting 1 or 2 items :/ i also ended up destroying a lot of my rocks through terraforming so i only have two or three left for hitting!
I feel like I currently don't bother as much because I'm in the process of redoing my entire island and I also want to place them in specific places where it's easy to hit them without always digging holes. Once that's done, maybe I'll hit them daily again (especially since I really need materials).
I do them everyday. I really don't have a huge need for stone or iron, but they're nice to have anyhow. I don't gather wood anymore because I just trade stacks of stone for them now.
Nah. I have an excess of resources at this point, and I have more fun earning bells by fishing or bug catching than hitting rocks, so I don’t have any desire to look for the money rock. If I ran low on Gold Nuggets, I would probably start hitting all my rocks every day again.
I hit all of them because I always seem to be running low on resources, especially stone. I wish some of the DIYs I have been crafting didn't require 20+ stone!! One of the rocks is 60 stone!
I'm always looking for iron nuggets, so yes, I do. That being said, I only have 2 rocks a day. One permanent one that I like the placement and a new spawn each day. I can't decide where I want then, so I break the "wandering" one after I've farmed it.
I just spent a TON of time getting all my rocks in a group together and fenced them in to make it easier...I usually hit them daily, but I hated running around purposely for them, and didn't bother at times. Now that they are all in a group, I pretty much do it daily unless I don't have time and forget.
