not really no, the light sources in my room come from the light in the hallway from under and over my door and / or my bathroom since the bathroom is connected to my room. If those both happen to be off, the air conditioning unit in my window emits it's own blue light
Hell nah, I used to sleep with a night light when I was younger, but suddenly one day I just couldn't stand light in my bedroom anymore. Now I can't sleep if there is even a tiny light source in my room.
When I was maybe 5 was terrified of the dark! Would always imagine being chased on steps with the darkness behind me. I want to say this came from watching "scary" movies early on, but I'm not sure. I think at some point, the night light burnt out and I never went back to it. Worked out in the end! Now I need absolute dark in the room otherwise I've some trouble falling asleep haha.
I sometimes sleep with a light on. I used to need to sleep with all the lights on because I was so anxious in the dark. But I'm happy to say I've mostly gotten over that and most of the time I feel fine in a completely dark room!
It's always good to have a little source of light in hallways or a bathroom. We have cats and one of them has really dark fur and you can't see them when it's really dark. And they like to also sit on the steps at nighttime. So I knew someone was going to have an accident or he was going to get really hurt so I put a really bright nightlight at the top of the steps.
Of course my sister thought it was an eyesore (it really wasn't) and would hide it partially behind a cupboard so it blocked almost all the light and made it pointless. She changed her mind when she tripped over him and fell down the steps. Neither of them were hurt thankfully and she learned to accept some things for safety.
When I was a kid I used Christmas Lights as a night light... I guess it was way more than a night light at that point haha, they lit up the whole room.
no, but I do have an air purifier that has a light I have set to the lowest brightness which is always on. it’s not too distracting but sometimes I sleep with an eye mask on. other than that my bed base has a motion sensor light that turns on when I get off the bed so I can see better at night along with a night light I have plugged into the hallway.
