Do you same multiple personalities in your town, or all different ones?

I've been trying to work out the dream villagers I want.. but I'm running into a problem >< I really love Lolly and Fauna, they're both normal personalities.. and well.. I dunno if it'll be weird having two villagers who say similar things... or do villagers, even with the same personalities say different things on and off? I know Mira and Fuschia seem quite different.. even though they're both Uchis.

..I also want Ankha, and I have Whitney, so that's two snooties.

So I'm just curious if you guys have two or three same personalities in your village, or not? I'm contemplating changing up my dream villager list, although I don't really want to.

Since there's only 4 female personalities & 4 male ones, you have to repeat sometimes. I just try and have at least one of each. I have 2 normal, 1 snooty, 1 uchi, 1 peppy, 2 smug, 1 lazy, 1 cranky & 1 jock.

I used to have two of the same, but the appearances between the two are so different, I normally see them giving off a different message/tone/vibe instead. Take Colton and Beardo for example (explained in another topic), one could be your typical teenager crush, while the other is your awesome uncle.

Since there are 8 personalities, and 10 villager max limit, you're bound to have doubles of the same personality. I recommend a a personality you can't get tired of easily, or two favorite villagers of the same personality that you can't decide inbetween. I make do by making up personal background stories with some of them just to see things differently (say, if I had a Colton, Julian, and Papi trio).

I'm going for one of each personality, makes things more fun and interesting. I used to love normals, but since I have Merengue, Chevre and Marina in town, they're getting kind of boring because they all say the same thing.

I had Fauna and Lolly (Lolly recently moved) And I'm due to have Diana and Whitney in the same town too. So it should be fine! ^_^

I have a problem with liking too many peppy villagers. I have now Dotty and Bunnie and am thinking of taking Ruby as well. Same problem with normal villagers - I have Gladys, Flurry and Pekoe on my list. So...unbalanced. There isn't a single smug villager I really like. I've settled on Marshal because he seems to be the cutest, but he might just end up being kicked out for Ruby or maybe Phoebe, if I decide I want an Uchi after all. Too many peppy, cute bunnies, I tell you! D=

It's difficult for me to figure out which villagers I want 'cause I don't want all the same personalities, but sjdlsjdslj. ;A; The eternal struggle. I'm probably gonna end up having 3 normals and 3 uchis along with the rest...

I have three normals and it's not rare to hear, "It's 9 already? Time goes fast when you're having fun. It's true, dearie." "It's 9 already? Time goes fast when you're having fun. It's true, bonbon." "It's 9 already? Time goes fast when you're having fun. It's true, airmail." It's not a problem for me, though in my one town I kind of refuse to have another cranky so Kabuki will be unique.

I have each and every one with the exception of smug and lazy; I have two of each of them. I took a liking to two of them and I'm thankful we get to have 10 villagers.

There are 10 villager spots and only 8 personalities, so basically you have to have 2 of 2 personalities, or 3 of 1, if you want all the different personalities and a full town.

Personally, I have 2 snooties, 3 smugs, and one of the others except for uchi. I'm trying to get rid of my smugs (except for Marshal), especially since they ruined part of my town. ;-;

There's total 8 personality and 2 have to be repeated, so I pick lazy and peppy villager to be repeat cause I love many of that types xD

I have 5 normals (my dreamies), 1smug, 1uchi, 1lazy, 1snooty and 1peppy. And I really love Alice but she's normal and I don't want a town filled with only normal villagers. :c

I had three lazies before Beau moved, and honestly it didn't bother me any. I had two peppies before I gave my best friend one, and they acted like they were BFFs. They were always around each other and using each others phrases. It was really cute!

I think it's nice to have at least a couple of the same personality because you get to see some specific events between them sometimes. Like before Rizzo moved, Knox had me fetch him to bring to his house, and they had a nice little conversation about taking care of the player character in case one moved. Another time, Ruby wanted Bianca to come to her house so she could pick up some dance moves or something.

So there's some benefits to having multiple types in the same town, even if you sometimes get repeat conversations.

Right now I have three smugs and two snooties. My dream town has two snooties in it, but no other repeated personality, I think, and only one smug.
I don't know how people manage to have towns with four or five normal villagers. I feel like that would be so boring. :c

Currently in my main town I have:
Zucker (lazy), Punchy (lazy), Moe (lazy), Octavian (cranky), Apollo (cranky), Carmen (peppy), Marina (normal), Ankha (snooty), Katt (uchi), and Genji (jock).
I'm going to replace Moe with Kabuki (cranky) and possibly Carmen with Wendy (peppy). So I'll basically still have at least one of everything but I do have a ton of lazy/cranky villagers mostly.

I have a ton of lazy villagers in my town and it hasn't gotten too boring yet. Having two villagers with the same personality type shouldn't be a huge issue.
