My town is like, one and a half years old, and I don't really like the name. My tastes really changed over the two years. Does this ever happen to you? What would you prefer it to be?
In my City Folk town, yes. I was, what? 9? 10? When I made my City Folk town, and I named it "Ali Town." So creative, right? I wasn't even the mayor! Anyways, I regret it so much but I can't just reset it because it's grown too much and so much nostalgia and ahh. Wait, can you even reset City Folk? I haven't even tried lmao
Honestly no. I wanted a unique name unlike Rosewood that also captured the feeling of what I wanted the town to be. If you combine that with my love for forests and the Latin language, you'll understand my town name
I actually had to think it through for an entire month, so I'm quite happy with it ^^
Yes I wasn't on any forum when I made my town so I didn't think calling it Hyrule would matter since nobody else would be seeing it. Obviously now I'm doing online things I'm meeting other Hyrule towns and it gets a bit annoying just looks really uninspiring and unoriginal but I really never thought too much about it
I don't think I've ever regretted my town name. There were times where I thought it was a little lame or it wasn't appropriate for my town, but it wasn't enough to make me want to restart because of it.
I really like my town name. Kairos is a lovely word with a lovely meaning. Plus, EDEN has a wonderful song with the same title, so I'm very satisfied with it Though I don't regret my town name, there were a lot of other nice things I wanted to name it as well, so I regret not being able to use those too.
Sort of... I named my town after the game Pok?mon Platinum. I stopped playing Pok?mon long ago, so if I was given the choice to rename my town, I'd do so without holding back. But at the same time, I do like Platinum as just a town name. It doesn't fit my autumn-themed town, but still.
I don't regret my town names, I thought about it carefully before naming them, but yes my tastes have changed somewhat over time.
My first time playing ac was wild world, hadn't read any guides & told Kappn' in the taxi I was going home - so my first town was called - home. I'm not the only one that made this mistake in wild world. But I still kept the town, didn't reset.
At least in acnl it's clear that you are being asked for the town name.
There are things I regret - picking the modern police station in a woody zen themed town (total brain freeze), placement of reset centre & caf?, what my character looks like, but I live with it, can't face redoing all the play/work again.
Even if I did reset I have a feeling I would end up regretting something about the new town, so unless I do something disastrous or I lose it by data corruption, I'll keep what I've got.
I love both my town names. My first town is called Lyonesse after the Lost Land of Lyonnesse. which legend says was once, in the time of King Arthur, a beautiful land stretching from the western tip of Cornwall to the Isles of Scilly some 30 miles away and has now sunk below the sea. So romantic.
My second town is called Orkney because I live in the Orkney Islands, off the north coast of Scotland.
