A lot of players reset for different reasons. Sometimes they can't take their Town Layout anymore or decide they just want to make a Cycling Town. I was wondering who has reset their town at least once, and if they love or regret their decision.

I made my current town on the day Animal Crossing: New Leaf was released. I knew I was going to stick with my town no matter what! I reset my Animal Crossing: City Folk town years before, and it was something I ended up massively regretting. My Town Layout is in my signature, and it honestly took some planning to stuff 4 player houses, 10 villagers and 30 PWPs with the snaking river and 3 bridges. But the only thing I knew I wanted was to have a tree in the center of my town. I got it! And it was pretty easy to fall in love with everything else. What's your experience?

Well, I accidentally reset a couple times and I regret that so much. I love my current town and I will never reset it.

I've reset my carts many times because I always end up being dissatisfied with my layouts or because I simply get bored with my towns. While I love what I have now, I wish that instead of resetting my old towns and striving for perfection, I would've just worked with what I had and made the best of it. Had I done that I'm sure I would've ended up being just as happy as I am with my current town. After all, pretty much any layout can be made to work..

I still have my very first town on my first game, but on my second game I had a really old town but ended up resetting it because I got bored. Looking back on it, I regret it so much because not only did it have an amazing layout, but so much was already put into it. I wish I thought about it more.

To an extent? I miss some of my old villagers, like Pierce and Kyle, but I love Mayscore's layout so much more, and I appreciate being able to work on something new again.

i still have my very first town, but on another copy of mine, i've reset a few times. i don't really regret it tho

The exact opposite, actually. I regret sticking with my first town. I took a map off of the first four that Rover threw at me, and it's been a disaster ever since.

Now my second town...I will never ever reset that baby.

Nope! I had put in alot of work in landscaping my previous town but I really didn't like the map. It had a lot of rocks on places where I wanted to put pwp's, trees and patterns. The only thing I miss is Whitney and Fang, but I have pretty cool villagers right now. So I'm glad that I reset.

Yes and no. I miss my launch day town and having my profile card displaying the the launch date, but at the same time my current town is just a million times better.

I reset my town once a couple of years ago, and I actually cried for the majority of the next day :( but I was reassured it would be OK. I still miss my old town but I don't think about it as much now.

i really do regret resetting, since whenever i go to tortimer or play with someone, im afraid they'll think im a noob at playing, even though i got it a few months after the release haha

No, I didn't enjoy my town back then and restarted until I had enough reasons to love the town.

I reset my town and it was a good decision for me. I liked that things felt fresh and there was more stuff to work towards and new villagers to meet. Nothing's really gone because you can get items and villagers you really love back eventually. It was a good time.
