I really thought the lower (regular) camera angle would be everyone's favourite but then I met someone who preferred the aerial view a lot better!

while I will play with both angles, I personally I prefer the lower camera angle because it feels more up close and personal. It feels way more immersive imo

thoughts?

I mean the higher is obviously super useful but I default to the regular view. It's a lot more visually appealing in my opinion, especially because you can see the sky.

When I first got the game I liked using the above/high angle bc it was a neat little callback to the GCN game, but since I like fishing and bug catching a lot I realized the low angle is just... a lot more useful for seeing what’s going on, since u can see further “behind” you

I do sometimes use the high angle for seeing fish, etc that would otherwise be obscured by trees and scenery, but overall I’ve gone back to the low angle for its utility. I love the high angle’s inclusion tho

Discovering the aerial view was a game-changer for me. I find catching fish and bugs to be so much easier and generally prefer being able to gauge more of my surroundings. The only time I play with the default or lower view is when I'm wishing on shooting stars. XD

I mostly prefer using the regular camera angle because there's a lot more to see, especially the sky. Though I will admit I sometimes use the high camera angle to give me Animal Crossing Gamecube vibes, even though I've never played it before.

Higher majority of the time, I loved that they included it, it's such a blast of nostalgia and I didn't realized I missed it so much.

Love being able to see more of my surroundings. I might also have a lack of depth perception, as I tend to do way better at fishing and bug hunting than with the default camera.

I had to choose the third option because I constantly shift from both viewpoints. It’s part of my odd play style! I’d say I’m in the higher position for more time tho

higher! I like being able to see as much of my surroundings as possible so I zoom way out in any game that lets me (like the during combat in the fire emblem games). But I agree that the default one is more immersive so I use it sometimes when I'm done with the day's tasks and am just chatting with villagers

I usually use the lower/regular camera angle and switch to the higher when I need it~

I like the higher camera angle because I can see more stuff, and now I don't have to worry about missing stars due to MeteoNook. The low angle is better for diving and catching bugs on trees. It's also hard to see shark fins on fish to the south with the high angle, so I'll switch to the low angle to get a better view of the fin (or lack of a fin).

I honestly cannot decide. It depends on where I am on my island or what I'm trying to see. I guess I don't have a set preference, but sometimes I'll have the higher one on and find it annoying after a while lol.
Doesn't help that when you move it resets it to the middle camera which is kinda ehh dsadasdaw

I always use the high angle. I feel like I can see more and know where I’m going. I don’t know how people use the low angle to catch bugs and fish. I need the high angle for those things for sure.

I don't have a preference tbh, but when walking around or exploring an island, I switch between the higher/lower/regular angles to view stuff better c:

95% of the time, i play at the regular angle.

but if i’m searching for something (fossil, weed, hidden treasure, etc), i’ll play at the higher angle to try and make sure that i don’t miss anything that might be hidden between or behind something aha ;v;

The default camera/middle angle. It's between that and the top down camera that I use the most.
