I like when my nails are long because I have long fingers and they make my hands look a little more feminine, I think. But my nails break easily and then I end up scratching myself a whole bunch because I'm not used to having them so long so I just keep them kinda short. I'm trying to strengthen them but I'm on a medicine that makes my nails more weak than they already are :/
One time I grew them out as long as I could and one of my nails broke so badly I had to cut my other nails off and I just haven't done it again lol
I like both ways. I guess it depends on my mood and if I foresee some herd labor coming up. It's really hard to get things done sometimes with longer nails. That's when I have horrible accidents and end up cutting them down anyway. Thank god they grow back
I keep mine very short... I keep trying to grow them long, but I just have such a bad habit of biting them. So even when I go so long to grow them, they look ugly and I'm not the greatest at cutting them nicely.
Short - been biting my nails for years so would probably cause as much damage as an out of control cat with longish nails. Plus, using touchscreen stuff... tap tap tap, scratch, scratch, scratch.
I prefer having medium? I mostly keep them short to medium length due to work, but on week where I know my work load is rather light, I let them grow. Then once I know they'll get in the way, I trim them down. By medium I mean just past my finger tips and by short i mean pretty darn close to the flesh.
Short nails are easier for me to live with since most of my classes now require a lot of typing, plus I don't have to worry about breaking them or anything. Buuut long nails look way better on my hands, especially when they're painted. Also I sometimes get too lazy to cut them so they end up long anyway.
