Do you play with sound on?

I play with sound on but I mentally tune it out.

I usually play with the sound on. Sometimes I turn the music off because I don?t like some of the hourly music themes, and some of the themes in the shops are annoying too.

The only reason I'd have the sound turned off is if I am playing in a more public area and don't have my headphones for whatever reason.

I used to not play with it on so much but really it's such a big part of the feel of the game! I love hearing the tune I made for the town play on the hour. It actually just sounded off in the middle of that sentence hahaha

Depends where I am but usually yes, except when in a public place with other people as with others. I can't catch fish reliably without having it on because the visual cues are not helpful with my often inadequate timing.

I usually do, but not all the way turned up. I just need to make sure I don't miss any villager pings or messages from friends.

I usually have volume, unless I was listening/watching something else at the same time if I was playing. Other than that, I'd mute the sound if I was going to go for the diving trick to get more PWPs.

I do, I couldn't play completely silent but sometimes I turn it right down if I'm watching TV. I can't fish without the music on, I'm useless without the sound effects

It depends on what else is going on in the room. Like, if I'm having a conversation with someone or watching Trailer Park Boys over the top of my screen (lol) then the music is definitely off, and fishing can wait for another time, or I'll try and grin and bear it - though fishing with the sound off is just, ugh, what a pain in the booty. Recently I've been playing with the sound off because I have a lot of music to sort through on the computer; I don't like to have more than a certain amount of songs in my library and I'm above 8k right now which is ridiculous by my personal standards, so I have to listen to stuff I'm not familiar with and weed out what I don't want to keep before I can go back to playing with the sound on.

If I have it in the car and I'm riding shotgun I have the sound on, because the radio is crap and our rides are usually too short to justify hooking up my partner's phone to said stereo to make use of that library. We just have our banter overtop the nice soothing soundtrack of New Leaf while we go on our way~ it's really relaxing. Not as much as the original GC version soundtrack, imo, but still very nice.

If I'm alone in a silent room for whatever reason and no music or TV is available for background noise, I'll play with the sound on then, too.

I play with sound on too! Though if I'm in a public place I always try to make sure I have some earbuds with me so I can play. If I don't then I just don't open up the game. The sound just adds so much to the game I'd feel weird not being able to hear it

Yep! I like being able to hear the animalese when I speak to my villagers, and I like listening to whatever music's playing that hour. The only time I don't have the sound on is when I'm plot resetting, because I do that while I'm doing stuff on my laptop.

the only time I'm guaranteed to have the sound on is when using the net trick, so I can hear my footsteps

possibly have it turned on when fishing or listening for pings, but not always. maybe sometimes for other random things too


otherwise, its generally muted with other music playing off my computer. which is probably about 85% of the time at least

I always have the sound on. Just in case someone pings or I gotta fish. And the music is cute
