Do you only get 1,000 Nook Miles for the just first remodel of a villager's house on your island?

I'll probably be unlocking the ability to decorate the interiors of my villagers today. I hear that you get 1,000 Nook Miles after you finish decorating a villagers interior and exterior. Is this only for the first time you do it or do you always get 1,000 miles? Reason I ask this is that I could really use the Nook miles. I'm kinda broke now.
