Do you miss the “old” snooty and cranky villagers?

Nope...don't miss any of the original angry snooty and cranky villagers.I had about four or five of them in my Population Growing town that I really hated.The New Horizon crankies and snooties are probably too nice so maybe Nintendo should start calling the carnkies "geezer" or "greybeard" and call the snooties something like "spinster".

Yes I want them back, NH villagers have no personality, just hobbies, cookie cutter crap, I don't even interact with my villagers anymore.

I agree with what people are saying about wild world. It had the best personalities in my opinion I think it was a perfect balance

to be honest, i do wish they were a bit more cold than they are now. i mean, they don't even get upset too badly whenever you don't talk to them for a handful of days. their personalities now don't really ... match up with what they're called, i guess. i feel like they are WAAAAY too toned down in this game, and they're too nice almost? idk. it was a lot more rewarding earning their friendship in the past games tbh. now it's just immediately handed over to you. like, i wanna work for it!

the snooties aren't as mean now, which i appreciate but also miss?!! feels like all of the relationships and dialogue got watered down in new horizons.

I think both are fine in New Horizons, perhaps even just slightly better. I do miss the Jocks from New Leaf, though. Jocks definitely have less fluff dialogue in New Horizons.

I wasn't a fan of the old snooty's, they annoyed me so much but I do like the old cranky personality. I felt so accomplished when I got their picture cause it was like they're all gruff and angry but still kinda like you enough to give you their picture

New Leaf snooties and crankies had to be won over. I miss that. The friendship felt earned when it eventually happened.

honestly, i kind of miss them being mean. i know that lots of young children play animal crossing and could easily become upset by mean dialogue but i mean, they’re snooties and crankies and they don’t even really act like their personalities anymore. the crankies have turned into gentle grandpas and the snooties have turned into a rich aunt of sorts.

i don’t want them to drag me but a lil bullying could be fun LMAO

Personally yes. Freya is way too nice! I miss them getting angry and saying rude things but then being nice on occasion It was much more interesting this way. I can’t really differentiate her from normals... she’s just a fancy normal now lol

I’ve never played any animal crossing game besides new horizons, but from what I’ve heard they were sooo much more fun lol. I wish my villagers were meaner to me sometimes. I’m tired of all the meaningless compliments, I want to be roasted lmfao

Though, funny enough, Freya was stirring the pot yesterday on my island. She told Raymond he was pretentious (I mean, yeah, I agree) and then she was messing with Lobo telling him he clearly had a crush on her, which freaked him out. So there is still a bit of the old Freya in there, but she's way too gentle. I would love a little of the original spice to be added back. Maybe it doesn't have to be as mean as Game Cube era, but surely they could pepper the dialog with a bit more low-level shade, or grumpiness.

But I think that's good they are not so mean. I played only the pocket camp before, and I can't say cranky or snooty were very rude there, but one moment really got me. Once a year, on February the 14th there is an opportunity to give one villager a best-friend present. So choosing a villager is kind of a big deal, while it's only one. They give you a best friend gift in return with a note there, and I've googled which personality says what in their note and all of them were so sweet apart from cranky villagers. It was something like, "I don't know why did you force your friendship on me, but it's been bearable so far". Imagine choosing your bf villager and getting that in return...
