it has it's benefits. during the month before daylight savings, while im doing my morning routine, i always think i have lots of time just because it's still dark out, meaning i dont check the clock as often. that usually ****s me up when i try arriving to school on time
DST screws up everyone's circadian rhythm. It leaves you with exhausted workers and students, overall lowering everything's efficiency for several days, even weeks, while everyone's trying to readjust.
There's also the issue of more people having to drive to work in the dark mornings while still being tired, which is dangerous. And apparently, the extra stress of losing an hour in daylight savings is enough to increase the rate of heart attacks during DST's first couple weeks.
Also, this article says that the change in energy consumption during DST is pretty much just a 1% difference, much less than what a lot of people think.
I really don't like daylight savings time. But I do have to admit that I love the sunshine...
Like others have said, the "extra" hour of sunlight is nice, but I'd rather just keep the clocks the same. It just doesn't make sense to keep up with something so arbitrary, especially since it's not the standard for the world.
No, I really dislike it. It means going throughout the house and resetting all the clocks that don't automatically adjust themselves to the right time. Plus, it sometimes gets a little confusing if you're used to the old time.
I can't stand it being dark in the mornings when I get up for school.... It's so unnatural to wake up when the sun isn't coming up :/
That's the only thing I dislike about it. It just makes me feel so tired.
But honestly, it's useless. We should just leave it one way or the other. The reason it started was for farmers, and unfortunately not many people live like that anymore, so there's no reason for it at all now.
No, mainly because it's just an hour, an hour lost in the morning! Sunrise comes an hour later just so sunset can come an hour later? The days will naturally get longer as we get into June, we don't need to start extending the evening as early as March!!!
I voted yes but then again.. I really do like gaining that extra hour of sleep when it ends so idk. All I know is that my sleep schedule is messed up now. Lol
