im not from the USA and i think its a good country compared to mine. im currently studying fashion and my country do not have that much opportunity for people who wanna be a fashion designer. so my plan is to move to the USA later in life. personally, i think its a country with plenty opportunities though it has its weak points as well. and im afraid of guns lol

As an American who got to live outside the US for 3 years, I can say that all countries have their good sides and their bad sides. Overall the US is pretty decent though.

The main thing I think would make the US better is if people would stop trying to mix religion into everything. Religion should be a private thing, IMO. It shouldn't be in government and schools and such.

Out of curiosity where you are at do people like being called ma'am & sir? I've found that a lot of people the older people here don't like it!

I live in the up north area of my state and people don't mind either way, but the way I Was raised calling them sir and mam is kinda burned into my brain.

I live in Virginia and saying "Sir" and "Ma'am" is the norm. Even when people aren't much older than me, I tend to call them that. And I'm called "Ma'am" sometimes. No one seems to mind.

personally, I hate it. living in the bible belt my entire life has been nothing but annoying. I'd love to move but I'm not sure if it will ever happen.

the united states is, sadly, manifested around white, straight, cisgender, christian, male privilege. I accept that I have some priviledge, however there are many, many people living here that do not. we live in a nation where people are slaughtered for being non-white, non-straight, non-cis, etc. the us also lacks understanding of those with disabilities and mental illnesses: aspects that need to be addressed and accepted. there is inequality everywhere.

however, these downsides have made me, and so many people, want to fix our country up.

I like american tv shows and I guess they have nice cities, but I wouldn't wanna live there. It's not the worst country, but if I were to move I'd choose another country.

america's government is corrupt and all that matters is money :lemon: if I was able to move to a different country I would, but since I financially am crippled by our education system along with the fact that all my family lives here I'm kinda stuck for the time being
