do you keep your pets indoors?

My cats have always been indoor. My old cat, Simon, was indoor/outdoor (but we kept him on a leash when he went outside because it was dangerous for him to wander and he had a tendency to do that), but our cat Destiny is 100% indoor. She used to be a farm cat and she's pretty wild and if she were to get outside (we live in the city) she would get hurt, she really can't defend herself or feed herself =/

My cat is 50% indoor, and 50% outdoor. We make sure that we have a good idea where he is most of the time, however, since he's been stolen twice.

And my royal python is indoor, obviously.

I have an indoor cat, we live on a main road and don't want to have him hit by a car. Plus I think I've read they're some healthy perks of keeping cats indoors. The dog we are watching over generally stays inside to, unless we take him for a walk or let him out in the backyard.

Yes, at all times! You never know if they may get stolen, run into a car, get lost, or hurt in any way. I find its safer to keep them in doors. Just interact with them to keep them from feeling cooped up.

We keep all our cats indoors. There are too many irresponsible drivers, dogs, coyotes, raccoons, and people who would hurt/take them around here. Occasionally we let them into the backyard while we watch them, but they mostly just like to eat grass and maybe run around and then they want back inside.

Before our dog died, she was an inside dog. When she went outside she was always in a fence or on a rope/leash because she liked to run away and the above reasons were the same for her. I personally don't like keeping dogs outside all the time (especially in those tiny little fence cube things with like 12 sq ft of space, if that) because it gets really cold in the winter and really hot in the summer. And what's the point of having a dog when all you do is go in their cage, give them food and water, a few pats, and leave them for the rest of the day? That's how a lot of people treat their dogs around here and it really bugs me.

my dog stays inside. sometimes she'll hang out in the yard for a little while when we let her out to go to the bathroom, but otherwise she just prefers to stay inside and nap now that she's getting older. ):

My cats are indoor cats, but sometimes we let them out on the balcony for a few minutes, so they can taste fresh air.

Yes I do keep my pets indoors, I have 3 cats, we do let them outside in the summer sometimes if we watch them but never let them out on their own. Then I have a hamster, which kind of has to be inside, and my brother has hermit crabs and they need stuff like lights and humidifiers and stuff that needs to be plugged in lol

nope, my parents have always been in the "no animals in the house" camp :(

my dog's more than happy to run around on the grass, and his bed is under the pergola right next to our sliding door, so he can always see us, but sometimes we let him inside when there's a storm because he gets scared
and our cat sheds hair like crazy (plus i'm allergic) so he stays outside too. our next door neighbours also have cats so he likes to chill with them most of the time. he's such a sweetheart and he'd be a great indoor cat, he just sheds. and sheds. and sheds.

my grandma's dog in vietnam got stolen. my dad said people steal dogs for food.

I'm currently living at my aunt and uncle's place, and I have 3 pets; a small dog + two cats.

They let our dog stay indoors (I'm always home, so I can keep an eye on her), but they wanted our cats to stay outside because unlike our dog, they can get into things a lot easier.. (unfortunately, we previously had 4 cats, but two of them wandered off and never came back. :( I just hope they're alive and healthy..)

My cat stays inside. He's a big scaredy cat when it comes to the outside world. Plus, there's no canned food and snuggly blankets out there, he probably doesn't think it's worth it to venture out :3

my cats are terrified of the outside when we moved apartments they were even scared of going onto the porch. also id worry about them getting fleas.
my rodents (8 mice, 2 rats) obviously stay in doors or i would lose them =(

1/2 cats wants to actually go outside, I don't let him though only sometimes if I'm holding him.

Our Husky loves to go outside, but he likes to be with us so he's an indoor pet most of the time. ^.^ When it's snowing though, he can stay outside for hours and not even care if we're dead or alive xD

Yes my dog is always indoors. In fact, she never even goes out at all except the back yard to do her business. There are 10 people in my family and not one takes her out for walks. Pretty rediculous how lazy we all get. No wonder why she's as chubby and over weight as Garfield

Yes, both of my cats stay indoors. We live right next to a very busy cross street that leads into a freeway entrance, there's no chance of my letting either of them get outside >.>;
