Do you have any playable characters in your town besides your mayor?

I know that a lot of people probably only have their mayor, but who has other characters too?
I think it's really cool when people have side characters who are like OCs and have their own little stories; i think it's really cute and that I might do that. But so far I only have my mayor ever since I reset.

I recently restarted my last town and I don't have one now, but I had two side characters mainly for storing paths. In my next town I'm planning on making every single one of my characters have a story to go along with them. I'm not really sure what though o u o

I think side characters can be a little bit of a hassle though, especially if you intend to play with them every day, but they make great "sidekicks" and make designing a town a lot easier to do! n u n)

I thought this. I mean, it's a big deal having to socialise, unlocking the QR machine, dictating over the town. But having to do most of that stuff twice? potentially even FOUR times?

To store paths, yes.
In my old town, my side characters became my main characters.

Yeah this is kind of my problem with side characters because you have put in a lot of effort just for paths if you want to use a qr code for that. And if they're going to buy anything, you need to either give them money or take the time to make it.

I have two other characters in both of my towns. but tbh I thought everyone at least had two others characters ????? I mean because basically all the dream towns I've visited have 3 upgraded houses.

That sounds great. It makes it so it seems your town really has some depth to it.

I just have my Mayor atm. I have had other characters plot houses just for plot resetting purposes. Since i'm not one for collecting/using designs, my mayor has all of the paths stored and i'm okay with that. With trying to complete my town, i've needed a flower breeding area and there is no room for another house atm :/

I made my first alt a few days ago, mainly for paths and turnips. I think I'm gonna make her house pink and cutesy. c:
I'd eventually also like a third character for when I make a dream address. Maybe for a shop or something? I just want an interesting town.

I have all 3 alt spaces used up, mainly to hold paths and to store hybrids/furniture/etc

I have two characters in my town. I usually play with one for one day and the next day with the other. Mayor is actually an OC, and alt is just a character I made before my sibling stopped playing.

I have two alternate characters, but they're mainly for storage of items and patterns. I'm trying to upgrade their houses right now and complete the theme challenge, but I usually only play with them a couple of days a week. They hardly ever interact with villagers. I also use them to get extra event items if they are unorderable.

My brother made a character, but he rarely ever plays so I'm considering deleting him and making some OC-like characters.

I have two others: Gallade and Tricki-L. They are 'Pokemon' characters and I dressed them up as best I could. They also hold path designs and have my rare stuff in their houses, but I designed their interiors and exteriors nicely so they sort of have their own personalities. I also use Tricki-L a lot for wifi trading as he holds a lot of my stuff for sale ^_^

No, but I'm planning to. I think I'll make another character soon or when I run out of design spaces.
Call me lazy but I find it really really boring when you've got a new character and you know what to do but you're being to get a tpc and talk to Tom Nook to get a overpriced house. I think I'll get round to it soon!

Just one other one I use to store my path designs. Just so their house isn't this random little empty building taking up space I also use their house as a gallery to display the photos I've received of villagers who no longer live in my town.
