Do you have any mental/physical disorders/disabilities?

i have sensory processing disorder (SPD) and OCD. i also have really bad anxiety.. ;c

on a related note, when i was younger my parents and some doctors thought i was autistic. but other than that, i never had a disorder that would qualify me as special ed. or anything.

I have a G-tube (tube that goes directly into my stomach) and I get an elemental formula through it.

i believe i actually watched a short documentary on this a few months ago. :o
if you feel comfortable answering this (some people don't like going into detail about their health problems or disorders so you don't have to answer this..) but are you really allergic to a lot of things? i've heard of some children who weren't able to go to school or anything because they were so allergic to the foods the other students would eat and everything. :c

Yeah I'm pretty much allergic to everything. I have to trial different foods to see if they will work with my body. Right now I can have potatoes and rice. Although a lot of kids with this do have real allergies, they don't always present themselves like allergies and it's more of a gastrointestinal response than a quick immune response like hives or anaphylaxis.

For about a year I had to do independent studies instead of going to real school cause my symptoms were so bad.

oh wow - that must really stink, not being able to go to school. *hug*
i know what you mean with having "food trials". i had to go through that too, mainly when i was younger. of course, if a food didn't work for me, the only thing that would happen would be a little vomit and faint humiliation. :\

it's great that you can eat potatoes and rice, at least. C:

Errmmm....I have asthma, which luckily has phased out as I age. Sadly, I'm allergic to dust mites, which live everywhere, so anytime I go to someone who has an "older" house like my Grandma's, I go into crazy sneeze mode. Funny, as a lot of my villagers adopted the catchphrase "ah-CHOO" xD

I hear that dust mites can't live in Denver due to the altitude.

I have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and a slight case of Social Anxiety. I have many anxieties. I'm a very nervous person. ._.

I likely have SAD (Seasonal affective disorder) or just general depression. I'm not going to jump to conclusions just yet though. Plus I have certain OCD's. Sort've social anxiety as well.

Not been diagnosed with anything, so nope.

My whole family are convinced I have OCD though. People and teachers at school too. Mainly because of just my obsession with doing some things over and over a certain amount of times... Or how I feel as though I have to make my bed 3 times before I sleep ;___; I don't think I have anything though it's just routine lol

Generalised Anxiety Disorder, it makes day to day life a bit more difficult and trying new things is difficult for me. My doctor also worries that I'm starting to develop a Panic Disorder. I'm not currently on medication for my anxiety.

I feel like I have OCD to a very tiny extent. Even the smallest thing will bother me and I have to fix it, like crooked things that are stacked weirdly and handwriting that looks good but has a few mistakes.

Sometimes people mistake OCD for wanting to be organized. A lot of people say they might be ADD or OCD, but sometimes it's just the sense of organization in the person. I feel that way too, and I know I'm not OCD.

I feel lucky in that I don't have any. Just synesthesia - but that's not considered a disorder.

Agreed, I think people throw that term around way too easily without understanding what it really means. It's much more severe than just being organized or a germaphobe, it's something that is debilitating. I have a lot of symptoms of OCD but I wouldn't use that term unless I was formally diagnosed by a doctor.

High blood pressuer. N no. I dont smoke or drink. I just have it. Also what is ocd. I may have it actually as I have a strange habit of doing things over and over sometimes. I also have a habit of changing things repeatly as they get old quick. So expect me avatar to change often. Oh n I am quick tempered if that counts.

It's good to see an open thread on this where there is so much positivity. Awesome people

I have suspected Aspergers (rarely formally diagnosed once an adult), agorophobia/major anxiety disorder, depression, chronic fatigue and a lazy thyroid (not quite bad enough for thyroxine though)

Funny I had almost constant panic attacks from a Friday afternoon to Saturday evening, but after that I was so out of it and couldn't feel my limbs. Partner called NHS direct and next thing I knew I was in an ambulance for suspected stroke. First Saturday night I'd been out in 13 years and all these people worrying about me and it turned out it was just due to a major bout of the panics  Can laugh now but eeeeeeeeks

Hang in there and never be scared to ask for/accept help.
