Do you have a villager that you used to hate but now love?

Bettina is slowly growing on me ... she's still not the best looking, though.

I used to absolutely despise Rasher and Bluebear but now I love both of them, I also used to hate Kidd but I still hate him so I guess he doesn't count

I wasn't really the biggest fan of Shep when he moved into my town, but over some time, he's certainly grown on me. I never really hated anyone in my town though.

Cube! I play ACNL since 2014 (when i was 9 years old) and i was sad that the brazillian folks dont care for AC. But i found a guy that was with open gates. Then i clicked to go there and he was brazillian! He was a bit older than me (11 years) and he had Cube. He asked "Voc? quer ele?" ("Do you want him?" in brazillian portuguese) and i said "N?o sei" ("I dont know"). But then i talked to Cube and i had to sleep (it was 23h).
In the following day, Cube moved. I was trying to make him leave. I was on 5th grade and it was middle of year (in Brazil we have 2 or 3 weeks of vacation in July and 3 months from december till late february) and we had test week before the vacations. Because of this i didnt played too much.
But when i touched on my 3DS again, my mom bought an Project Mirai DX copy because of all my 18/17,5 (in Brazil the test grades are with numbers, not the alphabet) test grades, the tests has worth 18. And i didnt played AC too much again.
After some weeks i played ACNL and was about to reset. But i saw Cube again and liked him. But i wasnt liking my town. Then i reseted.
I had 4 towns. Maryland (the very 1st one), Matsukin (2nd), Midnight (3rt that i had a 1 month hiatus because that i beated on a boy on school) and Moonlake (actual).

Cube isnt my dreamy, but i love him now!

I used to not care for Francine or Chrissy, but when I found out Francine was my birthday twin, I started to like both of them. Now Francine is one of my dreamy villagers and I would love to have her in my town one day, possibly in the new game. I might even get Chrissy. ^^

I didn't really like Chester, until he moved into my town and I got to see him myself. Now I think he's a cute villager. Same with alligators and gorilla villagers, there's a lot of them I didn't like because I always had the worst of the selection move in, but when I looked up all the animal villagers that can move in, there were a lot I really liked and hope to see move into my own village someday.

I guess Willow kind of. When I first started playing on my Town in New Leaf, Willow wasa not my favorite and I felt like I kind of ignored her. Now, she is one of my favorites, and I have learned to love her! :)

I've never actually hated a villager. In my first New Leaf town, I was initially annoyed when Phil plopped his house down right behind mine. I quickly discovered that I loved him to pieces though. He was so colorful, and his animations and dialogue went together in a way that was massively flamboyant. It was a great combo for me. Then Pietro came along and plopped his house right in front of mine. LOL I liked him well enough too, but I let him go so as not to have my house blocked in--plus two smugs was a little repetitive for me. Wouldn't mind having him in another town someday.

When I first met Rocket, I just laughed and wasn't sure what to make of her. New Leaf was my first AC game, and I didn't know about the superheroes or any of the characters in advance. With the exception of Drago, my starters were all little characters (Lolly, Ruby, Roald, and Cyrano). Rocket was a shock initially, but she turned out to be pure love. After giving her a turkey zebra fish for a pet, she treated me to a story regarding a movie she'd watched about a ladyboss who had a giant fishtank. Now that Rocket had a fish she kept picturing all the gangster underlings having to clean that huge tank. It was ridiculously endearing from her, especially with the superhero persona. Then came the day she wanted me to help her convince Amelia that mohawks are cool. Anytime she talks about fleas damaging her "delicate lady skin" or the rain messing with her awesome hair (hidden under a helmet no less).... I smile fondly. I adored her so much she inspired an entire second town for the gorillas.

Cherry; I wouldn't say that I love her, but I do like her now.

I had her in my very first town and ever since she moved in everything just kept getting messed up (her nickname was literally 'a girl!', she moved into a spot that I wanted to use, etc.) I don't fully remember what happened, but she said/did something and I was trying to skip a day, but I accidently skipped a fully year. I lost quite a bit of my favorites and decided to just restart everything because she was still in my town.

Had her in my lastest town, and while I quickly got her to move, she didn't cause any problems nor did she grind my gears like before.

It was probably Gigi for me. She was one of the first villagers in my NL town, and her design didn't really sit with me. I didn't like the hair, the weird makeup/mole. I can't remember now, but since she was a snooty, I imagine her personality didn't sit well with me to begin with.

Anyway, as I got to know her and uncovered all the dialogue for the snooty personality, she really grew on me. The more I got to know her, the less she seemed snooty. A lot of things she says comes across as doubtful and insecure, and snooties bring up people gossiping about them or saying worse things about them than others. I felt bad for her for thinking that could/did happen.

I didn't get any vibes from her that she felt better than others, more like she felt constantly judged and like she had to live up to something. Snooties don't even let you compliment their homes, and Gigi's home has the regal set!

Eventually she became extremely nice to me, asked me for advice on herself (which made me sad, Gigi, you're fine how you are!!), and when she asked me questions about my hair/fashion/etc, no matter what answer I give, she always hypes me up.

I think her letters really helped me empathize with her too. She writes me really sad letters about her fear of getting older, a lot of "so it goes" type letters about life, and she ALWAYS signs off her letters with "From the fragile Gigi".

She's an important villager in my town now, and I could never think of letting her go. I know NL doesn't have the best dialogue in the series, but I think whatever villager you first go through all their dialogue with will really stick with you. And that was Gigi.

For me, it's honestly Wart Jr. I was indifferent to him at first, borderline not even liking him, but then as I talked to him more and he kept insisting on sending me letters, giving me gifts, checking up on me, etc. I started liking him more and more. He's not my favorite ACNL villager, but he's definitely up there on my list, and I've had a great time with him in my town. He's so sweet.

It all started with my 6th, 8th, and 9th villager in my town; Rocket, Tom, and Hugh. At first i didn't really like them, but they started to grow on me, especially Rocket. They aren't the best, but i'm still glad they are part of my town history

Yup. Cousteau. When he first moved in, I hated him because he was in a really bad spot (this was before I started plot resetting) and I thought he was ugly. But soon I started thinking his moustache was funny and now he's one of my favourite villagers. It's a shame, because he's in such an awful place that he really needs to move away.

yeah! Marcel. I thought he looked creepy cause he look like a clown. Then i thought of kicking him out. But after talking to him, i kinda like him. I was very very sad but i kicked him in using his amiibo card. He came back and i was so happy.
P.S. He has taken Inkwell's catchphrase "splat". He sounds funny saying it

I think mine have to be Muffy. I was just kinda in the market for an uchi, since personally, I think they have the best pwps. Problem was, I dont like any of them! I was opting between Mira and Agnes. Ive had Agnes before in my previous towns so I told myself to try Mira! Until... Closer inspection;; Mira wears makeup?! Like that just threw me off and for me, made her go from potentially cute to completely voided. I just find all villagers with makeup to look gaudy and it's not my style. Randomly one day Muffy had moved into my town, in the middle of my new uchi search and at first, I hated it because I also have a thing against sheep villagers, and the makeup thing. I was just buttering her up for them sweet, sweet pwps! I was gonna use her and then get rid of her!

..But now, I don't know if my town will feel like *my* town without her. She suggested so much cool aesthetic stuff, she practically IS the town! SBefore, she was just an overrated gothic sheep that I couldn't get by. Now I don't think I will ever have a different uchi again.
She actually isn't too terribly aesthetically displeasing, she isn't my all-time favorite villager, but I see why she is the most recommended uchi villager. Love her enough now to ignore the fact she's a sheep in makeup lol.

My honorable mention would be Olivia. Although I said I dont care for villagers with makeup, Olivia only has eye makeup (I just really am more bothered by lipstick on villagers.) and I'm really attracted to her design. She essentially has strawberries for ears lol. Interesting color palette and less annoying than most snooties.

Yes! I used to hate Tucker because I initially thought that his design was hideous. However he is now one of my favs after I got to know him, his design grew on me to.

I wasn't a big fan of Rocket when she first moved in. I was honestly upset when she moved in. I didn't like her at all in the beginning especially because she was mean to my character. But then she gave me so many auhentic paintings and even grew rare hybrids to give me. After she did all that for me I definitely grew fonder of her. Her dialogue used to be curt too but she has started to open up to me. She isn't my favorite or anything but she isn't that bad as people say.

I also used to not like Robin but she has grown on me. I didn't like her at first because she always sent me mean letters after visiting her house. She would insult me and overall be unfriendly to me. But I kept trying to be her friend and have her open up to me and eventually it worked. Now she talks about how glad she that she met me and is glad that we're friends. She's more open to me now and talks about herself. I'm glad I could make Robin and Rocket open up to me through gradually helping them out and talking to them.

I used to hate Cobb for certain reasons but after giving him a chance, I started to like him. Wouldn't say I love him, but I'm fine with him now.
