Do you have a theme in mind for your town?

I've been working on a Japanese style town and I know that some people like to have all of one type of village.
What is your towns theme if you have one?

I was thinking of having a natural + modern mixed together kind of theme, but at the same time, I want it to have a "comfortable" or cozy feeling. I don't know if it makes sense. Basically, I want people to feel really cozy when they're visiting my town. Since the Train Station and all of the buildings are on the same side of town, I was planning on making that side the modern theme and the other side to be the natural theme. It's not going to be 100% modern, I'm not going to have a path that looks like the road, but it's going to have things like a stop light and the trees and bushes and flowers that are planted in an organized fashion. I don't know if this makes sense...

But I'm not sure if this is the theme I'm going to be doing, I might end up doing something else.

My theme is mostly how a real town would look. With decorations changing with the seasons and rooms too.

My theme would be a town set in an alien planet but could sustain plants, so lots of plants and space paths! I still want to have a modern feel, so all the plants and paths are organized and symmetrical. Most of my villagers are somewhat space-themed or futuristic, with the exception of Lucky haha.

My town is supposed to be a village in the middle of a forest. It has a very natural theme around, no modern designs or anything like that. The most "modern" things around are the Cafe, Drinking Fountain and Windmill, to give an idea lol

Some of the villagers have been generations living there (Genji, Coco, Poppy, Erik, Blanche, Avery) , some moved in and are a bit more "modern" -more like less traditionally forest-y- (Deirdre, Fauna, O'Hare, Rudy), but still keeping the natural and no-technology theme. That reflects usually on their houses, not on the villagers themselves (for example, Deirdre and Fauna fit right in on the forest theme, but their houses in my village still show that they were not originally from there)

My theme is going to be modern/cosmic. The name of my town is Starfall, and I already have these beautiful blue starry paths. I'm planning on planting blue, purple, white, and black flowers throughout. There's going to be PWP's like the satellite and the cube sculpture.

I don't really have a theme, I just do whatever I think would look nice and whatever makes the game fun for me. I have a general look I'm going for but if I change my mind about it, that's fine by me too. It's not really a strict theme.

I find a style I like for a character ? and then I stick with it.

In my first town, Applewin, that's what I've done with the humans (particularly with Mayor Jill!).

I don't care to make switches, for the sake of occasionally making switches, because I play more than one town and don't want to consciously keep track of humans' appearances to that extent.

i just wanted a small town feel, but i also did what i wanted like with trees and stuff. i just threw things together and prayed it looked ok. LOL
