I've been with my boyfriend 3.5 years. We both went months without farting in front of each other until we accidentally did one. It went on like that for a while where we would only do it if we couldn't hold it in and we'd feel embarrassed if we did. However, slowly we started holding them back less and less until we got the point we're at now where we just fart whenever we feel like it.
