The only time I eat in NL is when my pockets are full and I need to clear up space for an item before I go sell everything.

I keep a basket of each fruit in my storage for easy request filling. If the stack is full, I'll eat it. Otherwise the extra fruit goes to refill the stack.

This applies to all fruit.

The only time I eat my town's fruit is when I need room in my pockets. I like avoiding placing things down in my town. Though, I haven't picked fruit in forever. X3

When a villager asks for fruit, I usually shake it from a tree so I give one to the villager, then I eat the rest. :3
