Do you customize furniture?

I like to customize thing in purple, like the regal and rococo series. It is also fun to play with ores on the modern series. I am currently trying to get the refurbishing badge, so I am just bringing a bunch of random furniture to Cyrus and seeing which ones can be customized. The coolest new one I found is that the surfboard can have different designs on it. I am trying each one then I'll pick my favorite. Does it count towards the badge if you keep customizing the same thing?

I customize furniture all the time. I prefer the darker shades of blue and green for their respective furniture sets, and being able to customize lampshades with clothing is awesome. Just recently I customized my Regal Lamp with a dreamy tee and it looks so pretty. It can really help make whatever furniture piece you want in your room fit in more.

Exactly. This is one of my favorite features of the game. Some of the furniture looks better customized than it does in its original state, but it depends on what it is.

I tend to customize everything in my house. :D I do it depending on what character's house theme is. For example in my mayor's house I made her Rococo furniture blue and I've customized the various chaise lounges around the house into different colors. For the classical style bathroom, I changed the bathtubs into marble which looks wonderful. In my alt.s house, I changed the kitchen items like the hot plate, breadbox, rice cooker ect. I also customized the cabin, modern-wood, and weeding day furniture. Lastly in my third alt.'s house, I customized the cabana furniture into gold and it looks so cool! :D

I have the black and red exotic set. Fell in love with it in WW, never could get it tho. In NL i got it, tried customizing it just to see if i could and when i found out i could turn it my 2 fave colors....Needless to say, i love it.
I have the full golden set too.

And I know it's overdone, but i made an alpine sweets shop by turning the wood dark and using some adorable qrs.

I get custom furniture all the time, especially if I'm unhappy with the way the default looks. I mostly only do it to decorate villager houses but I plan on getting custom furniture for my house, too.

I just recently started customizing furniture to liven things up (and also to go for the badge). Been redoing the Kiddie furniture into Pastel, which makes it pretty cute actually. Planning on redoing the alpine set with a pattern next.

Occasionally. I'm just getting into it. So far I've only made the alpine and classic furniture darker.

I started customizing a lot because I dislike the set as is.
I've redone the cabin, modern, rococo, card and alpine set. I changed the Alpine set using a candy gingham tee. It's one of my favorite pieces of clothing and the room better. Also changed the bedding and stools with number shirts. I have eight beds and stools upstairs in my campus college house.

I also redo a lot of items and put them up for sale at retail. Push the villager towards the piece and they buy.
The villagers houses look much better now. Or grab a piece when a villager asks for a replacement.

I never rally thought about customising furniture until about a week ago! Now I've gone through all the sets I have and am progressing on some of the ones I want to re-furbish! I think the they make each set a little bit more unique, especially with the ability to use fabrics of your choosing etc.! Of course they're some sets that just don't work with customisation, in my opinion, but most of them have really nice alternative options! Polka-dot being my favourite! I have the Melon Float theme with the Caramel accents! It look soooo nice. I just wish we could custom the wallpaper/ flooring to match!

The red and black exotic set is so much prettier than the plain brown, so it is always customised. I also recently discovered the stained glass has six exterior and six interior patterns available not including custom designs, so I've been ordering stained glass like crazy trying to see every single different combination. I can't believe of all the possibilities they chose the regular version to be the two most boring ones. Customised stained glass is just awesome!

I've customised most of the furniture in my main town, and I have a restaurant set up in one of the houses that uses the exotic set customised to red and black. It does look very nice :).

I finally finished getting and customizing the exotic set into red and black. It gives my main room a really nice warm feel. I really like it.

i do it sometimes but i'm usually just very lazy and post looking for threads in the retail board
i have a green minimalist set, red sleek set, pink regal set, dark blue blue set, light green green set, pastel kiddie set, and gothic white rococo set (all spread across different towns) c:

Sometimes, but not very often, at the beginning I costumozied almost every piece of furniture I got because of the badge, now I just do it when I think that it will look much better than before and fits better in the room (like I used gold ores for my cabana set, looks really good, I can just recommend it!) :)

I customize constantly, but it's mostly just for the badge. So far, the only room that's really been fully customized is the mayor's first floor, which is all set in white rococo.

I do, but I end up getting bored of the customised colours.
