Do you create your own custom patterns or mainly use ones you find online?

Most of mine are made by me, apart from 4 ground patterns (2 paths and 2 clover/clutter patterns).

I usually know exactly what I want and finding a pattern that matches that can simply be more effort than making it myself sometimes. I think I've gotten pretty good with the pattern editor at this point, unfortunately my 13-part path was one of the first things I made and I think I have to revise it at some point... Not looking forward to it haha

I only created my town flag cause it doesn't fell right if i use one from online but unfortunately i'm not as talented as these amazing people who make beautiful clothes and patterns so I get everything else online.

It's mostly down to practice, really. If it helps, there are several very talented people on here that would be willing to make a custom flag for you and your island! They feel more personal than a random design from the internet

Online. I'm not talented enough nor have the patience to design designs using that tool. I use the paths they give you in game though.

Mostly the ones online. I'm not very good at drawing or making custom designs, so I much prefer to use the ones others have made. It's a lot easier for me, plus they would look a lot better than anything I will ever draw. :/

For paths and such, I usually use ones I've found online. For clothes, I usually make my own, but I have also downloaded from the kiosk a few times.

It's a navy blue background with stars all over it, then my island name on the very top! Simple but it does the job!

I feel like it takes so much time to make them T__T I would rather spend my time on animal crossing doing something else to build my island more efficiently Maybe after I feel like I am done with my island will I start to venture into making my own custom designs! I already can sense some ones that I wish were available but I can't already find! And it would be cool to contribute to the community in that way too

I use patterns I find on Pinterest, mostly!

I do like a lot of the standard in game patterns too though and will use them (mostly the floral ones)

I’ve tried to make my own but I find the process even more frustrating than NL. it’s too tedious to fill all the spaces, even with all the ‘Tools’ the game provides for making custom designs.

I followed a guide to make my strawberry cheeks back before people had unlocked the able’s and it was just...not fun for me lol

I do a mixture of both. Most landscaping designs such as scattered leaves and stones are taken online. Others, such as signs and posters are original.

I create my own patterns for most cases. The only time I didn’t was for a certain restaurant logo cuz I didn’t want to spend hours being a perfectionist on one.

I want to create my own patterns, since my island is ancient Greek (ruins) themed... and if I want that to be obvious I need to create designs myself.

I am not yet really good at it, but I did create some ancient Greek pottery for my pottery area, and those turned out very nice, if I may say so It takes up a lot of time though, so I am a long way from finishing my island (doesn't help that I do not have the time to play everyday). Next up are some scrolls for my library (since the ancients didn't have codexes/books as we have now, those were 'invented' in late antiquity/the early middle ages).. though I am gonna cheat a little and still use things like the stack of books and the tiny library, primarily because I love those DIYs so much.
