Do you choose villagers based on house exteriors?

I've always wondered if, like me, people organize their town and partially choose their dreamies based on house exteriors? For me, it's not everyone, if I truly love a villager I'll figure it out, but for the most part the exteriors are semi-cohesive

And a bonus question - I really am not the biggest fan of Peppy villagers, so I chose Ruby because she has the same name as my dog and vaguely fits my theme. I thought I wouldn't mind the exterior of her house being metal, but amongst all my other cottage style homes it sticks out -.- should I switch her for Bonbon or Carmen?

Nah, I barely even notice exteriors. When I'm in a dream, I sometimes go into houses and am surprised to find out it's one of my longtime animals, LOL. Since it matters to you, and you don't like peppies anyway, you might as well pick the one with the exterior you like.

No. I'm not trying to knock you, it's your game and how you play...but I just find that silly. The outside is so insignificant to me.

I don't choose villagers based on their house exteriors but I did try to put similar house exteriors in the same area, e.g Muffy and Lionel have elegant house exteriors and I like to think they form the upper class neighborhood of my town (am I going too far already? xD)

I've never taken a real notice in my villagers' home exteriors. Until I met Static in a dream. His house looks like a trash can! I'm so thankful none of my dreamies had that particular exterior.

Not knocking anyone with Static as a dreamie, I was just shocked.

Not entirely, but I will admit that I often look at their interior on the wiki, and if I don't like it, they're not usually on my top list of villagers.

No, I've never really even thought of doing that. But if I am able to make my 1930's town that I want to create and try to make it look as if it is a black and white movie...I may have to. But then I'll have to try VERY hard to find houses that will fit in and I really doubt that any will.

Other than that one town dream I have, no. I just want the particular villager no matter what the inside or outside is.

I don't care about their houses. I choose villagers based on if they're my dreamies or not. I don't even care if they're not 100% original; As long as I get them, it's okay with me c:

Aw, that cottage theme sounds adorable! I can see where you're coming from. Alli is one of my favs, but her house clashes so much with brewster's cafe, which is where she plotted herself. I still haven't figured out how to decorate that area.

I would say that if you really want ruby, try to have her plot down far enough from a neighbor so that you can put trees/blushes around it. That way, the eye can be drawn to something other than the exterior.

I've never really paid too much attention to their house exteriors and I only started trying to modify their interiors recently. I've always chosen my villagers over personalities and physical appearance rather than house exterior.

Nope! In fact, I don't even think I could match all my villagers to their homes, even though I see them daily.

On another note, I had Bon Bon for a long time and once we were friends, she was one of the most generous villagers-always sending me mail and giving me presents. She's pretty cute and I liked having her around.

I don't really go by exteriors. Though, I really like Knox and it's unfortunate his house is surrounded by barbed wire fence.

I never choose based on the exterior, but there are definitely some I like more than others. Vic and Molly have nice ones, and when Zell was in my town, he was my favourite villager but I hated his house.

No, I've never bothered with it. I guess it's cause I see villagers as humans too lol
What they do with their exterior/interior is non of my business. I'll give them advice about what to put in their homes (only because I'm a bit OCD and a messy home would drive me mad), but I don't really see why I should judge a villager because of what his home looks like xD
If their homes are cool and stuff then that's a plus, but if it isn't then the way I see it, it just adds more character and corkyness to them ^.^
