Do you care if visitors talk to your island villagers?

Not necessarily, but if someone just wonders in my island without consent, and talks to my villagers, than I would get a little ticked off!

if im giving an island tour, letting people visit shops/npcs, or letting ppl sell or buy turnips or something i wouldnt care because its going to take a while anyway. if ppl r coming over just to trade or pick up something i would care bc the interaction's supposed to be kinda quick.

If I say you can explore my island then I don't mind if you talk to my villagers as long as you don't take anything without asking first or put up anything rude anywhere. Just I'd rather you ask first about anything really even that.

I don't mind, as others have said it was an issue in NL but now in NH they'll mention a visitor no matter what. Kinda fixed only half the problem but okay :/

It doesn't bother me. I didn't set rules for people visiting me in ACNL and still don't now.

Regardless of if a visitor talks to my villagers or not they will still mention the visitor later that day or the next

I feel the same way. I never understood why some people don't allow it. If they don't want the dialog they shouldn't receive visitors in the first place

If someone is coming to buy / sell something in and out I would prefer they didn't it's already annoying enough to have to hear your villagers talk about random people you don't even know who visited your island every day. But if we're actually playing the game together I don't care if they do
