Not really, I don't think I've even asked isabelle about my island rating since I finally unlocked terraforming. The parameters that are set in order to achieve each certain rank for me are just kinda silly. I'm pretty sure you could literally achieve 5 stars by just filling like half of your island with 1 block furniture, fences, and flowers, right? So like it's not exactly an impressive feat to achieve for me at least, and literally does not add or take away anything from my experience in game. Also, even if I did try to decorate properly, the games definition of a good island is a lot of clutter, and I like having some big open spaces on my island to run around and trade in.

I care about how my island looks than any in-game rating, though I take it in consideration sometimes. If I don't have a choice, I'd ignore the rating. The lily of the valley isn't that hard to get anyway. Same with HHA, I hover around 160-180 thousand points and I'm not gonna put stuff that I don't like just to boost the score.

honestly the five star thing doesnt matter to me as long as i have enough jacob's ladders
the rating just doesnt do much in this game! once you get it its like, okay, cool... now what?? and also theres so much cute decorating to do with dropped items and weeds that would lower your town from a five star rating even if your town looks better. also perfect town was extremely easy to get in this game, it took me forever to get perfect in past games!
so yeah i dont really think five stars matters to me that much in NH

I really wanted to get to 5 stars since it felt like a necessary stage in the game to complete, kind of like paying off my final home loan and finishing Nook accomplishments :) But once I reached 5 stars I stopped caring as much. I think I’ve maybe checked in with Isabelle a few times since then, but out of sheer curiosity since I have an outdoor workshop and some decorative weeds.

I basically got the 5 star rating to get the golden watering can, and I haven't checked back on the rating since. Afterwards I turned half of my island into a cataloging island though, which hurts the rating score due to a ton of items on the ground.

Ever since I decorated the place, it doesn't really matter anymore. It's all really just a numbers game in the end

i don't believe i've seen unanimous consent on any poll before. guess there's a first time for everything lmao

that aside, my town is an absolute mess right now; there's flowers everywhere, furniture / DIYs in random places, the beaches have random furniture and flowers placed on them, and i couldn't care less about having to fix that up for a five star rating. given that golden tools have essentially no value in this game, there's really no incentive for me to get a five star town, especially given the effort required to accomplish a five star town.

I generally want my rating to be at 5 stars...but, if I had it exactly how I wanted it, and my rating fell below five stars, I wouldn't care all that much. It definitely isn't the end of the world for me. But, my island is rated 5 stars right now...and I don't really see any reason why that would change. So...I'm happy with that.

When I finished my creative vision for my island, it just so happened to be 5 stars worthy, so since I'm so close to it, I like keeping it that way. Plus I get more Lily of the Valleys while I play, which are super pretty! :D

It was importante for me to reach it because of the golden recipe and to spawn lily of the valley.. But it's hard to maintain because of my DIYs and ocasional dropped items, so I don't really care anymore

I don't think my island ever drops from 5 stars to be honest... so I never check lol

The golden watering can is super nice if you're into growing lots of flowers and hybrids! it increases the watering range! But yeah, the other gold tools seem fairly useless in comparison

In the end, it doesn't matter to me. But right now it does cause I'm trying to get more lilies of the valleys to decorate.

I have too many diys lying on the ground atm to get a 5 star. I’d like to eventually get it at least once though.

I don’t worry about the star rating anymore since I have enough lilies of the valley. I’m still trying to convince my mom that regular hybrids aren’t connected to island rating tho lol
